Love the diner feel. Very busy, which is usually a good sign. You sign in yourself with name and how many are in your party, which is a bit different but it works. Plenty of staff coming by to take orders, deliver food, take away plates, refill coffee, etc… I had the Mighty Texas Sandwich with tater tots (I’m a sucker for tots) and it hit the spot. Wife had potato pancakes and ham which was also phenomenal. Great portions and a fantastic price. I’m not from the area but if we were, we’d be regulars no doubt.

My family and I went to go to Luckys steak house to celebrate something and there was an hour wait and a line out the door. We went a mile down the road to Flag City Dinner and when we pulled in the parking lot we didn’t know what to make of it. Looks like a typical dinner. Which we all know can be hit or miss.
Let me tell you this.. ITS A HIT
They have a GREAT menu. Lots of really good options. The service was top notch. The place was spotlessly clean. The environment and ambiance was super chill. The prices are MORE THEN FAIR with really good quality food. Like I said we went to the steak house and couldn’t get in. I’ll let my pictures speak for themselves. I got a complete steak dinner for half the price of Luckys and it was amazing. 5 out of 5 stars and we will be coming back.

The restaurant looked clean. The food was good but a little pricey for what you get. The service isn’t great. The waitress was friendly but not attentive. She sat my food down and walked away. Didn’t ask if I needed anything else. Which I did. She didn’t come back until I was almost finished. She finally brought me a refill on my drink (in a to go cup, I didn’t ask for it to go) and the bill. Then she walked away again. And no, they were not busy. There were very few people in there.
My pattymelt tasted good, but there was more bread than meat and very little onion. It was over $8 just for the pattymelt. Definitely not worth it. The onion pedals were good and was a nice serving.
I’ll go here again but I will be more choosy on what I order. If I get the same service next time, it will be the last time I go.

I’ve always said this was my favorite diner. I have a “thing” for diners, call it a hobby. I brought my girl here to get some grub, but they took over 10-15 minutes to even take our order so we left to Apollos where our order was taken immediately after ordering drinks like it’s typically goes.

Edit: Please don’t have angry, rude people answering the phone and just hanging up on people. I had my daughter call to ask if they serve breakfast all day since we are new to the area and she rudely said “yeah” and just hung up on her. Not a good way to keep customers. Manners!
I love the classic diner atmosphere with 50’s music! The food is great, the service is friendly and quick no matter how busy they are. Glad I found this place.

We came here for breakfast. Nice diner, great service. I ordered the “diner bowl breakfast.” Overall, it was good, I was a bit disappointed that the description read, “chopped sausage,” and I received cut-up breakfast links. There’s a big difference between the two. Tje sausage gravy was above average for a diner. My bf got the eggs Benedict with ham. And I felt the hollandaise was lacking flavor. However, it was a large portion of 2. He enjoyed it. And the red skin potatoes were a nice accompaniment. The staff kept the coffee coming.
I’d like to try lunch or dinner next time if we are ever in the area.

Flag City Diner is a great place to visit for breakfast. The motif is a fifty style diner with 50’s music. The waitstaff are friendly, the service is fast and the food is good. We’ve had exceptional waitresses except this past visit, one of the waitresses was irritated to serve us when we were not at her table. To me, it’s a team effort and it does not matter who you ask, they should address your needs. We only asked for a napkin to clean the seats and three straws for our drinks. I left spending slightly over $20 for three breakfast meals, a coffee ☕️ and one juice. This is not a place for five star dining, but it is definitely a place for a good breakfast. We will definitely return for another meal.

What an awesome little diner find! Went on a Saturday and the wait time was crazy (covid/limited seating) but I knew I had to experience it before leaving town! Monday morning returned to a quiet space with relaxed waitress, hot food, and plenty of fresh coffee.
Food was delicious! Service was awesome! You cannot beat the amount and quality of food for the price. Highly recommend the House Special breakfast as pictured. Side note: the rye toast is the best in the business!

They have really amazing mom and pop food here. I don’t know what they put in their ranch dressing, but it’s amazing!
