Coupon Chaos and a Rude Phone Experience
Two moms booked two separate orders of the big pizza for our cheer squad and tried to use a legit coupon that let two people use the
same discount, both under the pickup contact name. We double-checked by phone to make sure the pizzas would be ready by 3:30 since we’ve done big orders like this before and don’t want a repeat of past mix-ups.
What happened:
Two people used the same coupon, and both got the discount, with the pickup name showing as the contact.
I called to confirm pickup time and got a staff member who was incredibly rude, saying we shouldn’t be using the discount because we were “double dipping,” even though the policy seemed to allow it.
The whole thing felt like a slap in the face and made the pickup stressful.
The impact:
The rude reaction ruined what should have been a smooth, fun order for our big event.
I’ve always trusted this place for big parties around the city because the pizza is amazing, but this experience was a huge letdown.
What could help:
Be crystal clear about coupon rules publicly—can multiple people use the same coupon under one pickup name? any limits per order?
Train staff to handle coupon questions with some courtesy, especially for large orders.
Maybe rethink per-destination or per-order coupon rules to avoid confusion and keep things consistent for big groups.
Bottom line: disappointed by the service and attitude that day. Hope the management takes this to heart so future orders go smoothly and everyone’s treated better.

We have been a customer of Five Star consistently, once or twice a week, typically $75-$100 each order, for awhile now. We placed an order 24 hours ahead of time for a Halloween party, delivery at 5pm. By 6:45 we still had not received our order. We called 4-5 times during that time and every time we called, they told us that the order was out for delivery and would be there “in ten minutes or so”. We asked to speak with the manager after an hour and a half of not receiving our order and the manager/owner, told us that he would put a note on file for a credit of the amount of our order for the next time we ordered for the inconvenience as they were not sure what happened to the driver and were not able to get in contact with him the entire time we were waiting. Well, 4 weeks later, we called to order another large order for a party and were told by the young lady answering the phone that no note was on our file and she would have to speak with the owner. After putting us on hold, she back and said that the owner would only extend 50% credit because we got the pizza eventually. When we said that was unacceptable as we pre-ordered the day before and still received our order an hour and almost 45 minutes late and were frequent customers, the lady on the phone had a “careless” attitude and said that was it and we were given more than enough since we received the order, even if it was late. When I said we would take our business elsewhere due to the service that we have received the past few times we have ordered, which I know is our prerogative, she just said ok great and hung up. I am thoroughly disappointed in the service that we have received which is a shame. We enjoyed their pizza but will take our business to a place where they value their customers and can deliver (pun intended) on the service and product they promise.

The young lady who took my order over the phone was very pleasant and helpful. Pizza is ready in time posted. It’s always good. We order the large veggie and it is delicious, with plenty leftover.

I originally gave this place a 5 star review, but something has happened in the past 3-4 months and the quality has gone down hill. The past 3 delivery orders have not been right. First order had pineapple on a pizza that should not have had pineapple on it. 2nd order did not come with the sides that I ordered. Last night’s 3rd order the buffalo chicken pizza had so much grease that the delivery driver was holding the box and grease was spilling out of the box onto my front porch and all the way in the house. The box was so soft from the grease and the pizza was soggy. To the management at Five Star, this was my last order with your business. You went from a 5 star review from me 4 months ago, to this 1 star review over the course of 3 separate orders. Its sad to have a good thing and have it turn sour.

Five star pizza is the best!!! very fresh. The crust is tender and fluffy. Ingredients are delicious. Thinly sliced flavorful. Always hot and tasty! I’ve joined the club so I get texted discounts often! Who doesn’t want a deal?!
