My mother in law was recently in Teaneck hospital so we looked for a quick bite to eat in the area and came across this place.. She got a basic hot ham and cheese and I got what was supposed to be an Italian sandwich.
I asked for a round roll and the cook gave it to me on a long roll, now everyone knows an Italian is Ham, Salami, and Provolone, well when I get my sandwich I take a good look at it and it seems a little off.
I look at the “salami” and I said this meat looks a weird color and its greasy.
I asked the cook if he heated the salami and he said he had to a little bit?? But how if I asked for a COLD sandwich? To my knowledge it was Taylor ham!!!!!
So I place the sandwich at the end of the counter for the waitress to take and he tells her don’t worry I know those type of people, they like to complain.
Oh really what are “those” type of people? I told him “key to a good restaurant is giving the customers what they want, not what you want”.
I continued sitting there til mom was done with her sandwich and not once was I asked if they can get me something else??
Very poorly ran business.. You tell me what this is or would you eat it?!?!??

Save your money and don’t go here. Food is expensive at an old mom n pop shop. And the lady’s attitude is nasty. They charged me 11$ for egg n cheese n home fries. No bacon. Turning point is gourmet breakfast with better prices. Their small Tropicana juice was 5$.

It was exactly what we expected, a no frills Breakfast & Lunch counter with a handfu of tables. Food was basic and good. I requested eggs scrambled soft and got scrambled soft. The shredded potato were also enjoyed at our table. For atmosphere, the place was worn but clean.

A local gem, and a good bargain. This place is operated by very nice, friendly people who have obviously been doing it a long time and know what they are doing.
A diner is only as good as the coffee they serve, and 5 Star shines bright in this area. Next, egg breakfasts, any style, always perfect.
I only go here for breakfast, so I can’t rate their other food, but I’m guessing it’s all very good.
If you prefer to speak Spanish, you will feel comfortable using your native language here, since they are bilingual.

A very clean and homely environment. They have awesome and affordable home cooking. Breakfast is very tasty, delicious and fulfilling. I promise you won’t be disappointed at all. They have the cheapest prices in town are better then the larger diners in the neighborhood. I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Amazing customer service, makes this feel like a local neighborhood cafe. Misha was fast, super friendly and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We actually just moved to the area and my fiancee has always hated “chain” coffee shops, but even he was impressed by how friendly and personal the staff are here. Definitely recommend this location.
