So I ordered from five star multiple times. Today will be my last day. I never had an issue. They’re pricey but food was always great. Today me and my coworker ordered wings and fries covered in SAUCE. Why mines come with sauce and not hers??? So I called I said listen we’re loyal customers we always tip good (I also already paid and tipped over the phone like always.) they offered to bring a new order with sauce. Why they come drop off the food I open it and the there was NO SAUCE AGAIN!!!! I was in shock!!!!! I called they fought me over the phone saying there was sauce on it. I asked if I can send a picture I took a pic of both plates NO SAUCE. They stood on buisness saying well we did put sauce .. lol ??? And kept hanging up on me while I was talking!!! I kept calling back and they kept hanging up in my face. I called back and they put me on the phone with the cook who then yelled we put sauce if you don’t want the food bring it back and we give you your money. At that point I hung up. I will never waste my time on them again lol great food TERRIBLE service for 16.50 EACH PLATE

I asked my sister to pick up an order from this restaurant, and I even heard her place it over the phone — clear as day, no confusion. When she brought the food home, it was completely wrong. Not only is it frustrating, but it shows a lack of attention to detail on their part. When customers take the time to order correctly, the least a restaurant can do is make sure they actually give what was ordered. Really disappointed.

I ordered online for a quick lunch special, delivery took about an hour an I had to search for the driver because he left his phone in the car. I normally would have looked over this but after finally siting down to eat I found a long black hair in my food. Definitely not ordering from here again. Money wasted.

The dumplings were a highlight — soft yet crispy on the edges, with a savory filling that tasted homemade. The portions were generous, and the price was more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food.
To top it off, the staff was super friendly when I called to confirm my order, and they even threw in some extra fortune cookies! If you’re craving Chinese takeout, Five Star should be at the top of your list. Highly recommend!

the minced garlic in the general tzo adds an extra dimension and depth of flavor that is really nice. The bean sprouts in the fried rice adds a great touch and a refreshing crunchiness.

As we eat the wings, there’s a distinct taste
After a few more bites, we realized the taste is fish
They must’ve used some Old oil that they used to make some fish for our wings

I must say I’ve ordered from this place before but what I ordered this time was so perfect I mean perfect it was the spare rib combo it was basically you know spare ribs rice and an egg roll it’s just that everything was made to perfection. The rice was delicious it wasn’t white rice it wasn’t brown rice I’m not sure what it was but it was very good rice the egg roll was just what an egg roll should be very crispy on the outside which you very rarely get these days usually it’s very soggy and the ribs were so meaty and delicious they weren’t like some places you order from where the meat barely covers the bone this was just made fantastically, with an outer BBQ taste. I’ve never really given this kind of review to a restaurant but I was really pleasantly surprised, now like I said I’ve had other meals there that weren’t as top notch but this was a very very good thank you.

The best Chinesse food I had in a very long time. It sort of brought me back to when I was a child and looked forward to Chinese take out instead of taco Tuesday. I suggest to start with spicy garlic wings with pork fried rice.

I just cannot take inconsistent service! This place is the closest Chinese food spot to my place of employment however after today I’ll get in my car and drive further if I need to. I order the same thing everytime and it’s always a different price and sometime I get a soda. Not today! Today they tried it! Charged me more because I asked for extra veggies and then didn’t add the veggies that I paid for! If I hadn’t checked my order I would have been too through! I’m over this spot…this is still NYC. I’m sure there is another spot down the block!
