For dessert I had the raspberry/lemon cheese cake, amazing. We were pleasantly surprised at the overall experience. Even more surprising was the location in the downtown area of Cherryville. We did have to send our steaks back, they were not done enough. That’s why the difference in the photo. I changed from the mushroom risotto to steak fries. And for clarification, I asked if bread was included with our meal, I was told that it was not. It should be in my opinion.
We’ll definitely be back!
My ribeye steak was thin cut (disappointing) and was served with a huge chunk of fat on the end . The flavor of the steak was pretty good, but it was not really cooked to a medium since there was no extra meat in the center to stay pink. My sauteed asparagus was still pretty crunchy (undercooked in my opinion). The potatoes au grautin were pretty good though.
My wife tried the NY strip. It was average thickness and was cooked to a perfect medium. She enjoyed it. Her mashed potatoes, not so much. I think the mashed potatoes should be called whipped potatoes; they were so whipped that they almost seemed like instant potatoes. She was not impressed with the macaroni and cheese and said it was almost tasteless.
My son had the kid’s ribeye with fries and mac/cheese. He didn’t care much for the thin-cut ribeye or the macaroni and cheese.
The atmosphere was really nice. It was classy without being uppity and had a warm, enjoyable feel to it, like a place you would want to hang out with your friends (the bar are seemed pretty nice).
I was really impressed when I noticed that they change the tablecloth on every table before seating the next group of customers. The silverware was nicer than I’m used to seeing and you could tell it was new.
Our server was friendly and took great care of us. She got a good tip
All in all, this place should earn a rating of 5 stars. I just hate that some of the food was lackluster, costing it 1 star. Would I give it one more shot? Yes. But if the food wasn’t any better, I would move on.
Our family made a reservation for after church. We arrived a few minutes early & the host promptly greeted us and sat us at our table. To start, we ordered the cheese curds (not pictured) which were served with a homemade marinara sauce — we opted to add a ranch for dipping as well. Our server was very attentive and kept our glasses full as we ate our salads and while we waited for our main course. Our table all ordered different items and we were all impressed by the flavor and portion sizes. Before bringing the check, our server, Melissa, offered us dessert. They had a variety of cheesecakes that were sold by the slice that would be great to take to-go to enjoy later in the evening. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and it was definitely worth the 30 minute drive. We will be back very soon!

I surprised my husband for his birthday and took him somewhere new and I’m so glad we did! I had met the owners wife a couple months ago and she told me about this place!
At first glance, this restaurant is gorgeous! From the hardwood floors, to the saddles, to the rustic Christmas tree! The welcoming staff was very friendly and seated us within 7 minutes of our reservation time! We ordered the calamari as our appetizer and it was great! It wasn’t the tiny little calamari you get at Olive Garden, it was delicious. My husband ordered the filet with broccolini and cheesy potato au gratin; the steak was very well seasoned and super tender; the sides were fantastic as well!
I ordered crab cakes with mashed potatoes and gravy and asparagus. Now the shocker for me was the remoulade!!!! I have NEVER found a remoulade that I actually enjoyed but this was out of this world good and I actually used it on my crab cakes!
Our waitress was Allie and she was the sweetest! She was very attentive and constantly made sure we were doing well. She also had a helper since it was his first day, Brandon, but you could tell he was not new to the industry! He was very attentive and checked on us regularly as well! The conversation with them both made me feel right at home!
This restaurant is the true meaning of casual dining! I did NOT feel rushed! Our meal came out about 30 minutes after our appetizer and that was fantastic! I hate when my meal comes out while I’m still eating my appetizer! And then Allie and Brandon offered us dessert which is made locally at a bakery and it was delicious as well! Recommend 10/10
