Stopped by this cute restaurant for dinner. Staff was super sweet and attentive. We got the cumin lamb, mala dry pot, and dongpyo pork and ended up getting chili wontons for free. All the dishes we ordered were scrumptious. Haven’t had this much authentic Chinese food in a long time!

We love Five Spice House especially after they reopened! Tried lunch combo which has very reasonable price and good taste. Overall everything was delicious! We especially loved the lobster, beans, and conch. Mala pot also tastes good but not too comparable to the ones in China. Excellent service throughout as well!

Awesome experience! The lobster is very fresh with wonderful texture and flavor. The shaomai is very tasty and the fried dumplings are very juicy. The pork belly is also very flavorful! Definitely recommend!

They opened during the storm! The service was friendly and efficient, we got our food and drinks within 5-10 minutes of ordering. Don’t be intimidated by the color of the food because the spice is pretty tolerable. Get the cucumber salad and spicy tripe for appetizers, they’re really good. This is the first time back since they’ve re-renovated, and it seems their food quality has become better as well. Will definitely be back.

Five Spices House is my go‑to spot in Boston when I’m craving bold, spicy Sichuan food. The menu is huge, with everything from classic dishes like Mapo Tofu and dry‑fried string beans to lunch specials that come with rice and soup, so it’s easy to try a few different things in one visit. The flavors are rich and authentic, portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable for the area. The space can get busy and a little hectic during peak hours, but the food comes out fast and hot, and the staff keeps things moving. If you enjoy real heat and big flavors more than fancy décor, this is an excellent place to eat in Chinatown.

Just found this gem in Boston—Five Spices House! The food is seriously authentic and sooo flavorful. Their signature dishes are amazing—perfect mix of spice, aroma, and just the right kick. The staff is super friendly, the place is clean and cozy, and it’s perfect for a casual dinner with friends or family. Prices are fair too. Definitely coming back—highly recommend if you love real Chinese food!

We stumbled upon this place on a cold winter night a they welcomed us with open arms and empty seats. We sat as a group of four eagerly waiting our food that came out faster than the orange line on a Thursday evening. We left that place licking our lips and our plates planning on our return to great establishment. The service was stellar, the vibes were amazing and the ginger ale was crisp. We left that place content. We love 5 spices!
