Social Profile:

Five Sisters’ Blues Café, located at 421 West Belmont on the corner of Belmont and DeVilliers streets, is a restaurant built on some of Pensacola’s deepest history right in the heart of historic downtown Pensacola – The Blocks. For decades this intersection was the epicenter of African-American business and social life. It was here that the progression of musical culture made its mark in Pensacola Each of the four corners of the intersection feature buildings that date to the neighborhood’s historic period that served as the hub of the blues community; including Gussie’s Record Shop, WBOP Radio Station and Abe’s 506 Club. As talent passed through and the good times rolled, the neighborhood welcomed musicians Louis Armstrong, Aretha Frank

Blues artists share top billing with Creole-style Southern fare in this energetic, historic space.

I got the seafood platter. It came with a big piece of fried fish, three shrimps, and one crab cake. I got sweet potato fries and mac and cheese as my side.

By far the BEST restaurant mac and cheese I’ve tried. It was thick, creamy, and well seasoned.

The fish batter is pretty thick, but it was very crispy, hot and fresh!

My partner got their spicy fried chicken sandwich and I did have a bite. it was very good! Fresh, crispy, and packed with flavor!

We also got the buffalo chicken dip as an appetizer and WOAH! I know this sounds weird but, if you like beef sticks, you gotta try this haha

We will definitely be coming back here

Not only is the food amazing, but this place is packed with local history. Sitting here reading about how this building has been part of Pensacola’s story for years makes you appreciate it even more.

If you haven’t been, it’s definitely worth checking out.

We love local spots that keep the culture and history alive while serving up great food.❤️

Place was packed on a Saturday night for the live music. It was about a 20 minute wait, so we went to the bar and ended up eating there. Bartender was prompt, drinks were great. We even requested a hot coffee drink and he crushed it. Our food came out much faster then we were expecting and was incredible. We ordered the half chicken, pineapple sla, and Mac and cheese… we were truly blown away and do we ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from them as well! Great job!

(Not pictured) My stepdaughter for the brisket sandwich that she enjoyed. My husband had the country fried steak, I had the seafood platter. Everything was delicious! We will be back.

Oh my gosh….we just tried Five Sisters Blues Cafe….AMAZING! From the beautiful hammered copper tables, brushed concrete floors to the welcoming staff, you are welcomed with a warmth that tells you something good is coming! They did not disappoint….we started with Fried green tomatoes with a homemade jalapeño ranch dressing….oh my gosh so good, crispy crunch to the tomatoes and the ranch is out of this world. Our main course was Aunt Sara’s Southern Fried Chicken….let me just say we have looked for a replacement fried chicken place since Hopkins House shut down…..we found it!!! The fried chicken is moist with a crunchy skin and oh soooo good! We had red beans and rice, french fries and coleslaw as our sides, all were great. You can tell the care and love that is poured into making their food. If you have not tried it yet, run and support this beautiful local business!

This was the place I went to that I felt like took me back to New Orleans… I feel like this might have been the last stop on The Chitlin Circuit or something ha! But the music was smooth, aura was organic x home like… It’s like going to your favorite aunt house x she is the best cook! My goodness! You gotta stop by anytime, BUT I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SUNDAY BRUNCH!!

Red beans, Fried fish x shrimp, mimosas…. YOU LITERALLY CANT MISS HERE! ️✊ ️

Southern Cooking At Its Best! Delightful drinks, delicious food, and spectacular service is what we experienced today for Sunday brunch. Alexis was cheerful and attentive. The Irish coffee and 5 Sisters bloody Mary provided a great start along with the fried green tomatoes. We shared the red beans and rice and plate of four sides. Everything was perfectly cooked and seasoned. I have never had black eyed peas that good, and the green beans were as tasty as my mom’s. The music doesn’t begin until 11:00 on Sundays, but we timed it perfectly to ensure we could enjoy a leisurely meal and great music. Go for the food and a slice of history as well.

The service was great, but the food wasn’t. We started with Fried Okra for an appetizer and they were cold. I think they had it already cooked and waiting for someone to order it. The kids grilled cheese and fries were fine but how can you mess that up. The red beans and rice dish was good but I’ve definitely had better. We also got the seafood platter (blackened). The catfish was good. It was soft and flakey. The shrimp was a little rubbery but had good flavor. The crab cake was ok. The Mac n cheese was good. I feel like this place used to be great, or maybe is and had an off night. The live music was fun!
