The burger was just okay, but the experience is heavily focused on customization. If you enjoy building your burger from scratch, you’ll probably appreciate it here. For first-time visitors, though, the ordering process can be a bit confusing since you need to specify all the ingredients.
After placing your order, you wait for pickup, and meanwhile you can snack on the complimentary peanuts in the waiting area. Overall, decent food but the setup is better suited for customization fans.

Wow this was my first time ever going here ever and I just ordered like I normally would any place else and I’ll tell you this. Make sure you know what you’re ordering I didn’t know what the menu went so I just said bacon cheese burger large fries and a large Pepsi or Coke whatever they had the lady taking my order asked me only if I wanted my fries with habanero seasonings and I said yes and did tap to pay she told me my number and that was it gave me my receipt with my number for pick up that was it. My number was called fast and I stepped up and yeah I’m #225 and she gave me 2 baggs and my drink and I grabbed my stuff and left cause I was just passing through during work on a lunch between jobs my burger had1 thick patty with bacon and cheese then second patty the same way then all the rest of burger toppings. So it was at least or 7 inches thick and the second bag was half full with fries and two small paper napkins and some ketchup. And man it was so good I couldn’t even think of how much that it was . But it was unbelievable how good it was. For two days I had that to eat so know what you’re getting and how much of it you get. Not mad about it but nobody needs to eat like that but I did because it was there to eat. I love five guys burgers!!!!!!!!!!!!! The best burger in the Bay area.!! Hands down any where

This is our first time to Five Guys. We’re truly amazed by the experience and surprised how we didn’t try it earlier. We had to get the veggie option as there is no chicken option here, so tried veggie sandwich which is actually a veggie burger. We had to get another one immediately, it was that good and fresh. Grilled onions, mushrooms and peppers with cheese were enough to make an awesome veggie burger. You can add jalapeño or pickles or some other extra add ons which we realized later. Fries were fresh cut and delicious, regular size was overloaded for us. Don’t forget to get some free peanuts while waiting. Couldn’t stop munching them.

Still a fantastic value for the price. Burgers are large and completely customizable. The fries are still a great deal.

Five Guys is becoming an underrated spot. Their burgers are really good. I came here for the first time in a long time, and they still pack your bag with a ton of fries.
I’ve caught onto the ordering. A little cheeseburger isn’t actually little. It just means one patty. I went with the little cheeseburger and it was great. It’s always a solid go to for burgers.
You can also add $5 to your burger to make it a meal so $15 for a burger fries and drink is a great deal for a great meal in this economy.

If you can get through the inflated California prices, these burgers are well worth getting, not to mention you get enough fries to fee the homeless population in the Tenderloin district. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a delicious burger, and don’t forget to slap some malt vinegar on your fries! Yum!!

Interesting hamburger eatery. Meaning, the brand identity is on it’s fresh, not frozen hamburger and handmade fries.. and good milk shake. I went to the San Ramon location and loved the energy of the staff and fast service considering it makes food the old fashioned way
The keep a pile of fresh potatoes displayed in the dining area inside the restaurant just to make it’s made- from -fresh not- frozen..point. I’ll be back to eat there again

With all my due respect for this place for the price it is you can easily go with the meal in the decent restaurant rather than fast food place this is. Cheeseburger $10.89 and fries additionally $5.99 there you go with the price for the decent dish next-door. Burger bunds were surpassed and soggy, although grilled. With the selection of “everything” on your burger exclude the mushrooms cause that’s they are canned and made the taste weird. Overpriced french fries was burned and not crispy at all.
Two stars for free peanuts and awesome soft drink vending machines.

I was being pressured for tips. I typically get a good experience here so it was a surprise. The cashier repeatedly adjusted the tip jar to face me and stared. I did not ask for any special accommodation or table service, other than ordering a burger and fries so I don’t think tip should’ve been expected. Other than this, food was great as usual.
