Came in with a friend a couple of days ago when I was craving a burger and nothing else would do. I haven’t been to this location in a few years, when my burger was given to me slightly raw. Yes, they made me a new burger, but still …
So, we came in and I was customer number 3, so far that day. Ordering was simple, as always, and I chose the Cajun fries.
The burger was everything I expect from Five Guys. It was delicious, moist and cooked perfectly. The fries were … well, let’s just say: I’ll never order the Cajun fries again.
One of the fancy soda fountains dispensed the wrong drink to me, but that was easily remedied. The “southern sweet tea” was so sweet I could hear my doctor groaning in anger.
One od the things my friend noted was a woman (whom was identified to me as the manager on duty) kept walking around the seating area ‘wiping down’ the tables without actually wiping down the tables. What do I mean by that? She’d just give a token swipe with a damp rag and move on to the next table, not even bothering to get the entire table top. This made us wonder how clean the restaurant was – if disinfectant was actually getting on the tables and disinfecting them.
My friend mentioned the female restroom stank like unwashed bodies, but other than needing some TLC, the men’s room was perfectly fine.

Enjoyed their Bacon Cheeseburger All The Way style. It had so many toppings, they practically fell off the patties and onto the wrapper, but it truly was a tasty mouthful of perfection. Keep in mind, they typically put two beef patties on their burgers unless you order any of their Little Burgers instead.

The burgers are fantastic. Made to order, fresh and choose your toppings. The burger and fries have generous portions. My wife usually only wants the little burgers since it’s a single patty but they are plenty big.

Unlimited peanuts in the shell, cheap (but good) burgers, free toppings with a good variety, and the fry portions are much bigger than advertised. It’s hard to go wrong. Good for groups (pull some tables together) or by yourself. I recommend the single bacon burger with lettuce grilled onions grilled mushrooms a1 and BBQ sauce with a small fry. It’s a gutbuster. My picture is a “small” fry.

A great option for American fast food if you’re sick of giving McDonald’s and other major corporations money. They’re still big enough to have consistency across all locations, but are small enough that they’re employees still know how to smile.
The french fries and burgers are really good and their shakes are some of the best. If you’re a frequent Stoner or someone who’s getting high in Colorado for the first time, five guys is a great spot to stop in and eat. You’ll get similar ’70s style fatty salty sweet foods, without the occasional problem that Gunther tooties has where you feel like you might have time travel by accident (joking).
However, like most locations these days, I find myself ordering from them through other means more than I do actually going in person to eat.
That being said, their food delivery system is one of the best I’ve experienced as it always reliably gets to me in good temperature. Ready to be eaten. And the few times it’s been left outside it reheats exceptionally well.
