We had dinner at the Middleton Five Guys tonight, 2/16/26. We haven’t eaten at Five Guys since moving from out of state two years ago, and were happy to give it a try. Big mistake. The price has become outrageous for what you get. The fries were soggy. Hamburgers were good, but you can get better at many pubs in the area, and for about the same price. Plus at pubs you get table service. My biggest complaint is the unfriendly staff. No one said hello, smiled, or said thank you. The guy taking our order couldn’t even manage a smile for my 7 year old grandson. We have been impressed by the friendliness of every employee anywhere we go since moving to Wisconsin, but not this Five Guys! At least the restaurant was clean, so there’s that. We won’t be returning.

I tried Five Guys years ago and couldn’t remember why I never went back. I tried it again today and the food was not good. The fries were freshly made but they were soft. The burger was gross, too salty and the bread they use tastes like the cheap hamburger buns you get from the grocery store. The buns should at least be warmed up toasted or something. The servers were polite, but I will never ever eat there again.

Store didn’t have any customers, it was around 8pm on a Tuesday night. One of the team members was cleaning the ceiling lights and the others were talking in a huddle. The cashier was great. When I received my food after a 10-15 minute wait (to be expected because everything is cooked to order) my bread was stale and the burger wasn’t smashed. I thought five guys were known for their smashed burgers. I was very disappointed in that $29.52 I spent for 2 classic meals.

Dashed a triple cheese burger, A hot dog and Cajun fries. They got to Fitchburg in good Time.
The fries were absolutely perfect – a Lil soggy from the trip over but we’re delicious and spicy! The hotdog was spot on with my custom add ones. The double cheese burger had the extras but they missed the extra 3rd patty that I added to my order. Door dash made it right. Just disappointing as Fice Guys is normally on the ball!

I ordered the 3 classic combo meals. I walked in a guy is standing here ready to take our order I think his name was Brandon he had great customer service. But when we sat down to wait for our order we get our food and our Burgers we’re all wrong there weren’t many cooks but the two cooks that were there present go to Hispanic male and female older male female it seems like they don’t understand English that well. 1st Little Classic Combo, I ordered a Double Cheese Bacon burger with tomato Lettuce Onions, Fried onions, mayo mustard, & ketchup. 2nd Little Classic was a regular 1 patty cheese burger with All The Way Toppings. Now this order was Correct. 3rd Little Classic Combo was cheeseburger with Only Ketchup.
When I got the first little classic combo meal it did not have my fried onions on there or my onions. Now for the 3rd cheeseburger only that one came with everything on it. All of the meat seemed very well cooked but the bonds seem like they had just come out the refrigerator and was kind of hard and cold a little bit. I was really dissatisfied with this order with it being the second time at Five Guys in my entire life I decided to take my children to eat there for the first time. It’s our order being $50 I expected differently I expected our meals to be 100% but it was not. The manager I guess Brandon walk so fast that you can’t hardly catch him to tell him about the problem the issue here. I myself have went along with my two daughters on Monday on the East Towne Mall area of Madison and oh my gosh me eating there for the first time was a one everybody I took I just kept saying this is so good I can’t believe this is so good that’s what me and my daughters kept replying to each other. Now I’ll have to tell her that I went to the other five guys over in Middleton which I was totally dissatisfied and I will not be going there again. My child did take his cheeseburger with ketchup which was only supposed to be cheese and ketchup took it back to the lady cook to tell her that it should be only cheese and ketchup and she did remake it with no problem. I had told her that two of our orders were wrong we would have had to wait in a long time again for our food to be remade so I just went on and ate. The fries were really great I love the fries I just wish I had what I ordered and paid for the fries were salty and good the atmosphere was great some of the tables could have been clean. What other thing I forgot to add is that Brandon their cashier he didn’t ask what our preference would be if we wanted regular or cajun fries I didn’t notice that until we’ve gotten our food already. Because I know at the other East Town area Five Guys the cashier did ask if we wanted a choice of cajun fries or regular fries, we didn’t have a choice here at the Middleton one.

Food here is absolutely delicious; it’s freshly cooked and served hot. Serving sizes are larger than average, so it’s worth the added expense over other burger places. Hands down the best burger and fries in the area. I also had a shake which was phenomenal.

Not the best 5 Guys visit I have had and yes probably the worst. Service was good. Inside was clean. Meal was hot. Fries looked to be an hour old and tasted like cardboard that was dropped into a salt bin. The burger was all sorts of a mess when I unfolded it from the aluminum foil. I ended up eating it with a fork because I couldn’t hold it. Should have read the reviews before I went here.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. The burgers are fabulous, the fries are delicious, milkshakes are phenomenal. But the BEST part of this place is the PEOPLE. Whenever my wife and I come here, we feel so taken care of and the folks here are so nice. So get yourself over here, get yourself some good food, and say hi to these guys. I’d give a sixth star if Google could count that high.
