The associates were arguing when I came in, and that should have been a red flag. They were arguing about how they messed up a previous order, which was another red flag. I am fairly sure they just gave me the order that they messed up already, which is ridiculous.
In defense of this location, one associate did give me a new bun when I asked because mine was soaked in condiments and toppings that I did not and would not order on my burger and offered to remake it for me.
Still, the end result was that I paid $20 plus a tip to end up unsatisfied, picking the wrong condiments off of a burger. It is going to be at least a year before I chance another Five Guys, likely 2, maybe never. The cost-benefit just doesn’t make sense with the food I received and the price I paid. If I wanted burger disappointment, I would have gone to the McDonald’s on Zeeb, and at least that would have had bacon on it.
Shout out to the guy who helped try and set me right with a new burger and to the random employment lawyer that gave me some interesting, if unsolicited, advice on my ongoing career search.
