I rarely have burgers anymore (downside of training for marathons) but when I have a burger craving, Five Guys is where I go. My meal of choice is a cheeseburger (default is 2 patties, can get a junior burger with 1 patty) with lettuce, pickle, and mayo and a side of fries. The burgers are made to order and when they call your number and hand you the grease-soaked paper bag, you know you’re in for a treat. The fries are fresh with the skin on them and while the burger isn’t fancy in any way, the taste just can’t be beat. If I could rate the food 6 stars, I’d absolutely do it.
The one knock (very minor) is that the food is on the expensive side. A double cheeseburger, small fries, and regular drink is $11.63 with tax. Yikes! The burgers are great and while I still pay from time to time, I don’t go as often as I wish I could go because it’s overpriced. Five Guys would do well to either provide larger patties or knock off some of the price.

Very good, with fast service. I love that you can pump your own ketchup in a to-go condiment container – Perfect when on the road.
Looking to cut back on gluten? The lettuce wraps are great (I get the cheeseburger in a lettuce wrap). The regular-size fries are plenty.

There is a reason we visit less than once a year. The service was fast, and the employees seem to be nice. The manager was over cocky and rude. We ordered and went to get drinks. One machine was overflowing with ice the other machine was out of more than a few flavors. Had to use to the over flowing with ice machine. There was ketchup on the counter. 1 of the 2 burgers were made wrong. Asked for it to be remade. The cocky manager rushed it and made it wrong a second time. I delt with it didn’t say anything. On the way out there was standing water by the trash can. But I know it will be a long time before we go back.

This place can’t seem to get my order correct when I order through DoorDash. I mark NO TOMATO, NO GREEN PEPPER, NO MUSHROOM, and yet my grill ticket adds those items anyway. I reached out to their corporate office to make them aware of the problem. Tried ordering again, and lo and behold, got the items I specifically requested not to be added to my burger. I give up. At least the fries are good.
