Great food, but the pricing and tipping setup need work
My son and I stopped in for lunch at the FIVE GUYS in Midtown Tallahassee (Thomasville Rd), and the food did not disappoint. We both ordered large bacon cheeseburgers—mine loaded with all the condiments, his completely dry—and both were fantastic. The fries were also delicious, and I appreciated the free peanuts at the table while we waited for our made-to-order meals.
That said, while the food easily deserves 5 stars, the overall experience falls a bit short. The pricing is on the high side (2 burgers, one order of fries, and two drinks), and the tipping prompt at the register felt a little out of place considering you’re placing and picking up your own order. Still, the quality of the food and quick service made it a worthwhile visit.

Service seemed ok and with such a simple order I didn’t think I had to check my food but man was I wrong. Missing a whole patty and cheese on my 15 dollar BC cheeseburger when I come home and they expect me to come all the way back to the store to get a refund even though I have the receipt and order number with me.
Just make sure you check your whole order before you leave, even if it is only 2 items.

Food took long and they are really really really skimming on the fries, what is happing with 5 Guys, I loved coming to this place for the extra fries that they normally throw in the bag. 20 bucks for a Berger and small fries, I don’t think so.

Burger was greasy and undercooked. Couldn’t eat it. Bacon was old and greasy tasting? Sandwich was slapped together like I went to a fast food establishment. It was not up to par or worth the money this time. Disappointed. Mom always eats last after every one else and I couldn’t even eat. Restaurant was also not clean for just opening. Floors were dirty. It is usually better than this.

The burger itself was good but severely overpriced. Got the burger bowl with two patties, cheese, and bacon, and a drink. My meal with a 10% tip was over $18. The patties were tiny! I spent that much and was still hungry. Very disappointed. I went here because it’s where the people I was with chose. I can get more food for less money at several other fast casual places. I don’t eat out much; I cook at home – and this is a good reason to continue to do that.
Staff was friendly enough. At first they left the bacon off and I had to go back and get it. Disappointed. Not worth the price. Don’t plan to go back.
