Where to begin..
– On lunchbreak, waited from 8:15pm to 8:42 for a burger and small fry.
– finished burgers were getting stacked in a pile on a spatula on the flattop to keep from overcooking.
– sandwiches were sitting open & untouched on counter for 20 minutes getting cold, while a room full of patrons that paid for them watched.
– guys behind counter moved with zero urgency. Hispanic guy with earings couldn’t be bothered, bearded guy and him were standing still laughing while others hustled.
– asked for eta on order, same two guys didn’t care. Earing’ed guy gave everyone else extra scoops of fries, but barely filled my small cup and smashed my sandwich. (See pics)
– another patron was waiting ages while 26 was being called instead of 36.
– food was cold by time we got it, people had finished their drinks, and order 52 was being called for drinks while sandwich #42 was still unassembled on counter.
– burger was void of flavor. Mealy in texture as if steamed or boiled instead of properly seared.
– whole place full of people looking at their food sitting there while guys behind counter dawdle.
– paid 20 bucks to get infuriated watching this take place and to be made late returning to work.
The best part? As I was finishing up, a small group of kids came in with their dad. The crew immediately greeted them like regulars, even remembering their usual order. Watching that level of personal connection in such a casual spot made me realize why Five Guys has the reputation it does.
I walked out not just full but genuinely uplifted, thinking: sometimes, great food plus good people can turn an ordinary lunch into something memorable.
I called 7 times to try to place an order .
My husband finally went in to order food and while he was in there I asked him to see if he hears the house phone ring.
While he was waiting on his food he heard the phone ring twice again which was me and not one person acknowledged it.
So 9 times in total I called lol.
They told my husband when he went in and said he tried calling , that they were slammed busy. There wasn’t a soul in the place!!!
If you want this to be successful business and bring great money in, I strongly suggest you spot check your employees or have a reliable manager to oversee so you don’t loose potential business. What a real shame as it’s in a prime location and the burgers are delicious!
For those who enjoy lettuce-wrapped burgers, I was particularly impressed—they didn’t skimp on the lettuce like many places do. It was properly wrapped and held together well, which made for a great meal.
This is clearly a well-managed establishment, and I’m looking forward to returning regularly. Highly recommended!
