My husband and I tried the Mala beef noodle and the fish filled noodle with chicken broth. They are both delicious especially the broth tastes really good. The noodle is mixed which is quite interesting. The fish fillet is very soft and tender. But I am wondering if the local American like the special taste of the fish. All in all, they served decent delicious Chinese style noodle. If you are interested in it, it is worth a visit.

Clean and neat space.

Pretty good. Makes my wife happy. Very clean dining environment. Surprised not many people here today on a Saturday. If their receipt is accurate they only had 9 people come eat by 4:30pm~. We were here for 30 minutes and saw no one. Definitely comfortable if you’re also don’t like being around a lot of people.

I wanted to try something new today, and i found this place (googled best Chinese food near me). I had the Mala sliced beef noodles. It was spicy but not deadly. Flavors were intense (in a very good way) with spices I’ve never tasted. I highly recommend this place for a taste of REAL Chinese cuisine. This place is legit.

My favorite rice noodle restaurant in the US! Very good food and cheap prices and great service! Can’t find any other better restaurants! We come from WI and we had it once recently on our trip. We will never forget it and we will definitely go back again for another time.

Found this place by Google search for Asian restaurants in the kettering area. The location is small, with very welcoming staff. They did not speak the best English and at one point used the phone to translate. A lau came in later that spoke fine, so I think that’s just a matter of timing. I did however alleviate the effort to ensure we got what the order correct. Now as far as the food…. everyone was impressed with their food. One kid got a spicy noodle, one noodles and chicken, one noodles with beef, and one vegetarian. They all said the noodles were amazing and the flavor was just right. Not being a huge fan of noodles, I went with my trusted fried rice. It was cooked perfectly, with my only complaint being that they didn’t have heat levels. I like my fried rice to have a little kick, but it was cooked so well, I won’t even let that be an issue. We will be back to this place as it is now on our list of go-to spots.

I ate here in June while in town for a conference and my husband and I cannot stop talking about how much we loved it. The mala noodles and fish noodles with the crunchy pea things on top….a great time in flavor and texture. Eat here!!!

Noodles were great! Someone commented previously that the eggrolls were the best they ever had, but they just tasted like frozen ones to me… but that’s what I get for ordering an American Chinese appetizer. The beef flank noodle soup was delicious. Flavorful broth, tender beef, crunchy toppings… it was everything I wanted on another cold day in Ohio. Order something you don’t recognize and trust the process.. and you’ll be happy here.

From the time we discover this place, we keep on coming back. Place is neat and clean, and most of all their noodles are the beat in Dayton even compare to those expensive restaurants. Soup is flavorful and their noodles can’t compare to others!
It don’t sag and taste is great! All flavors are exceptional We tried Mala noodle beef steak and regular beef, fish, sausages and fish balls everything were worth the price! They are not expensive for the huge servings

The food at five grains Noodle House is delicious. Easily. The best noodle soup I’ve ever had. But it’s difficult for me to recommend them at this point, because I’ve had two separate experiences of the last three where my online order was either lost or confirmed and then refused when I arrived to pick it up. If you want to give them a shot, you might be in for some of the best Chinese food of your life, but do not order online. Go into the shop and eat there.

We’re not in this area often, but try to stop by when we are. The soups we’ve tried have been delicious. So are the pumpkin cakes.
