Regrettably, this establishment operates on a cash-only basis and does not provide an on-site ATM. Guests are directed to a nearby corner store, which is conveniently within walking distance, to access an ATM. It might be more practical for a cash-only business to offer an ATM on its premises. Upon our visit, all tables were occupied due to the compact size of the interior. We were offered seating at the counter, which we accepted without issue. While the prices are somewhat elevated, the food was delicious. My son particularly enjoyed the Strawberry Crème Brûlée French Toast, proclaiming it the best he has ever tasted, likening its flavor to that of a strawberry cheesecake. Currently, the only non-pork option is turkey bacon; perhaps considering turkey or chicken sausage alternatives would be beneficial. Freshly squeezed orange juice is available for $5, served in a small, child-sized glass.

GLUTEN FREE FRENCH TOAST AVAILABLE! Was not indicated on the menu as far as I could tell, but just ask! Very lovely staff, great food, and wonderful vibes. Latte was a bit burnt, but otherwise no complaints.

We just had the best Breakfast Brunch ever here . It’s a cute cafe in Queen Village , with indoor and outdoor seating in a quiet little neighborhood. The staff was very attentive , service was fast and hot, and the food was perfect. I had a great breakfast burrito and my wife had egg whites w spinach and feta, both of which were served hot and quick. The coffee was great , and the potatoes were hot and crispy like we asked for.

We try new places about every 2 weeks. Today , Fitzwater Cafe vaulted to #1. It was that good from old school South Philly decor (ceilings and floors) , charm , and ambiance but more important presentation and taste of our brunch. We had the Chicken Cutlet Burrata , Bella Vista Frittata , Vanilla ice brew , a wonderful fruit concoction drink , and coffee. All were very good to excellent. We highly recommend this experience.

I had a party of two. Arrived there at around lunchtime. The wait was about 15 to 20 mins. They only accept cash. There’s a sign posted as soon as you walk in. The staff and patron are really pleasant. I ordered the strawberry crunch waffle with scrambled eggs. I must say it was 10/10. I’d definitely recommend and get it again. My wife ordered pancakes, scrambled eggs, and home fries. 8/10 only because the pancakes tasted like they came out of a frozen box and not made from scratch. Overall, it was truly a great place and will definitely be going back.

One of the best well known breakfast spots in Philly, worth the wait, worth the cash only. Prices are just low food is just great and the restaurant is adorable. In my opinion, the best breakfast maybe tied with Alice and Morning Glory
We ordered the strawberry crunch pancakes, crab cakes and English muffin, and breakfast borrico *chef’s kiss*

the wait time for a table was around 15-20 minutes on a Tuesday, the food made up for it with tasty dishes served in right portions. However, the service was inconsistent, depending on which server you got. One notable downside was the automatic 20% tip charged for parties of four or more, which felt a bit steep given the varying service quality. Overall, while the food was satisfying, the service and pricing policy left something to be desired.

The food here is solid, but the service—specifically the hostess—can be seriously off-putting.
She must be the owner or something because she is terrible at her job. Just search the term “host” in these reviews – so many people have bad experiences due to this one crone.
This is the second time I’ve come here when they were “busy,” and apparently “busy” means zero communication. If you walk in while they’re full, they just stare at you like you’re an idiot. No “Hi,” no “We’re full right now,” no “Hang tight.” Nothing.
I asked how long the wait might be. The response? “No idea.”
…Okay?
They don’t take your name, they don’t have any kind of list, and the waiting area fits—generously—two people. My friend and I were going to wait on the bench outside, but it was pretty clear that if another group walked in, they’d get seated first since the hostess refused to do the bare minimum of acknowledging us.
We ended up going to Morning Glory Diner two blocks away, and honestly? Blessing in disguise. The food there is significantly better, and the staff actually knows how to greet humans.
