I’m not one to complain about restaurants considering I’m a bartender myself but our service was terrible. Our server was rude and snappy with her comments when we asked for the dressing that she forgot and when we said the pop was flat. When we asked for our tabs “whenever she got a second” her response was again rude and snappy. Took 20 minutes to get our tab and cash out. I felt bad for only leaving a $2.00 tip because she was older but age has nothing to do with being rude. I’m sure it was a great place, we just had a bad experience.

I have always had a good experience here. Always served in time and never rushed but always quick to see we want a refill or whatever. My only personal request is wonderful fish fry every day.

Good food, right sized portions. Extremely friendly staff and very clean. Enough choices. Convenience fee charged for card use, which is totally fair.

Nice log building with knotty pine interior. Possibly the only eatery in town that takes credit cards in 2020. Pleasant atmosphere and service. It was somewhat quiet when I ate there. There is a small attached bar with taps and a couple tv’s. Otherwise, has a good small-town diner feel. Close to Lake Ore-Be-Gone for divers.

Super staff & great food. Hidden gem. Will stop again on every trip north. Wish they did breakfast.

Their food is awesome. But they need more servers. Weekends there seems to be only one with occasional help. But the wait wasn’t horrible. Their fish fry is anazing

Food was really good. Drinks not so much ordered a crown and coke and got pepsi and the wife’s tasted like expired oj mixed. Service was not exactly something to brage about but it could have been an off day. I will try it again and see if I can improve this review.

Don’t be detracted by the negative posts; this restaurant is still a gem in Gilbert, MN. We haven’t had the pleasure of eating there for several years, but we found it to be every bit as good as it was back then. We used to go there on weekends for the all-you-can-eat fish and shrimp fries. Granted, it is no longer all-you-can-eat, but they provide you with a hefty serving that is more than enough food for the average person. We had the shrimp combo which featured 8 nice size butterfly shrimp, along with baked potato (or fries or chips), and coleslaw. The shrimp was fried to perfection (not greasy) and was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent; truly a 5 star experience for my party of four.
