We attended Fitz and the Wolfe’s NYE Twilight Countdown in tux & sparkly clothes. It was such FUN. First we were welcomed with a drink and a lovely cold buffet with strawberries, shrimp platter and charcuterie. The talented live band consisted of guitar, base, trombone and female singer ~ 30s and 40s jazzy repertoire. No designated dance floor, but several of us danced in available corners. Next a hot buffet with beef wellington, lobster mac & cheese and broccoli. A bit later dessert buffet of crème brulee, macarons, and fruit. Intimate, Romantic party with only 40 people at cozy candlelit small tables 🙂 There was a full bar where additional cocktails could be purchased. Staff was friendly & kept tables cleared as we enjoyed all the party food buffets. A flute of champagne was also included and of “Auld Lang Syne”! We left the party with High Hopes for 2026. We hope Fitz and the Wolfe does NYE next year! We will be recommending Fitz & the Wolfe to folks who like Live Music and a Good Time.

Love it here! Such a fun place with a super cool basement nook in the heart of downtown Asheville. Great service, mood lighting, tasty drinks, and their hot dogs were super yummy. Love going to the Speakeasy to see live jazz – an Asheville Gem!

Fitz and the Wolfe is a standout addition to Asheville’s vibrant nightlife, seamlessly blending live music, inventive cocktails, and a variety of atmospheres across its two floors and three distinct rooms.

The Showroom, the venue’s main stage, pulses with energy, featuring neon lights and pop culture decor from the ’50s to today. It’s the heart of the action, hosting events like swing dance nights, singer-songwriter showcases, and honky-tonk Saturdays. The music lineup is diverse, ensuring there’s something for everyone. Complementing the lively tunes are late-night bites, including a delectable smash burger and Chicago-style hot dogs, all priced under $10.

For those seeking a more relaxed vibe, The Den offers a cozy retreat with dark academia-inspired decor, leather and velvet furnishings, and vintage pinball machines. It’s an ideal spot to unwind with a sophisticated cocktail.

Nestled between these two is The Palm Room, a hidden gem accessible through a secret entrance. This jewel-toned space boasts an upscale cocktail menu and is perfect for intimate conversations and Instagram-worthy moments.

Whether you’re dancing the night away, enjoying live music, or sipping on a craft cocktail, Fitz and the Wolfe offers a unique and memorable experience in downtown Asheville.

Grand opening of Fitz and Wolfe night. This place was quite an experience. Greeted at the door with notes of everything to offer upstairs is a Honky Tonk upscale bar with nights of live music. Downstairs you will find a more secluded and sophisticated space with books, games, billiards, and arcade games. The staff were moving and very helpful about the speakeasy as well. I rated a 4 on food as I didn’t eat it as I didn’t have a table, but it looked great with $5 hotdogs, smash burgers, and other fares that looked delicious! I would like to note that don’t currently have gf HD buns, but are working on it. The owner informed that the do have gf bread option. They also either have beyond dogs or are working on a vegan option. I enjoyed the space and think this a fun addition to add to Downtown AVL.

Late night jazz, good drinks, 1920s vibe, adults only? Sign me up! The Swinging Poppies take pop songs and reinvent them with a jazz twist. So much more fun than the typical jazz music. We loved it. Definitely recommend!

This place was so fun, as was the band Pleasure Chest. My wife and I had not been out without kids in a long time and had the opportunity to have a drink, listen to some really good music and catch a dance.

I came out to see The SunSippers play, loved the vibe of this place, people dancing & enjoying themselves. The atmosphere of this place was so cool. The little order window is adorable. There is the cutest space downstairs with arcade & pinball games & beautiful space for private conversation. The service is fantastic. I do think $14 for a cup of wine is a bit much but The food was great & no wait really.

We only got drinks, but they were reasonably priced. Place was relatively empty, especially for a Thursday evening but seems to be on par with Asheville still recovering. People were kind and they also had a food menu. It is set up for a lot of potential to be a very fun spot.

Was able to visit on Saturday night for Live music. The venue is great and very relaxed, not too crowded and plenty of space for people to get up and dance if they choose! $10 cover per person at the door!
