Food was amazing. Fresh battered fish and chips. Amazing. Bartender was cool as hell. Sat in the bar area for a quieter atmosphere. The hostess was none existent for about 5 mins. But once she came was super helpful and polite. And thats nitpicking to find something wrong.

Not only is the food and service great the staff is very honest and kind. I left my purse there after dining and was able to pick it up the next day. All of my cash and personal belongings were still there. It makes me happy to know that there are still good people out there.

As my home town restaurant, this is a great place to stop in and grab a bite for some good food! The service is nice and fast. Our server was very polite and was on top to make sure our drinks were topped off. Fishtale Bar and Grill offers a dining area, a bar sitting area, and a patio for those nice Minnesota days. Fishtale Bar Grill is a great place for friends and family to come together and enjoy a great meal! Would highly recommend stopping by if you’re passing through New Prague, MN!

Met friends for dinner on a Saturday evening. Started with beer cheese soup which was so delightful I brought home a bowl. Around the table we had walleye (the senior portion is plenty), BBQ pulled pork wrap, broasted chicken, and chicken fingers. The walleye was perfectly seasoned and paired nicely with the mashed potatoes. The wrap was big enough to bring some home, so mouth watering I’ll have it for breakfast. The chicken was moist and deserves a first place ribbon. The decor is adorable and much like a log cabin. It was our first time at Fishtail and we will go back!!

The food was really good, drinks were good, ambiance was cute and cabin-y. The outdoor signage needs a coat of paint, but the inside was nice. More importantly, my 1/3 pound burger was great. The chips are delicious. Hubs had the tacos and said they were good, with a surprise kick at the end. Mexican rice was not amazing, but that’s the only negative thing I could say about the place.

Ranch is pretty bland not a ton of flavor, but that’s how my mom likes it.
The Rueben she had was okay, but not what she was looking for. Her kettle chips weren’t warm. She said the flavor was good, but tasted like it was a day old.
Cheese curds were really good. Can’t complain here
My pulled pork was okay, I loved the smoke flavor, and the barbecue sauce, but wasn’t worth 5 stars. The fries were really good though.
The place is really clean and really nice looking inside. My mom said she hasn’t gone here because she thought fishtale was a seafood place. Haha

Wonderful atmosphere, service and food was off the chart!!! We had the walleye dinner and a spicy cajun pasta dish. Side salads were a large portion size and all the dressings were home-made. Subbed steamed broccoli for the potato. French, ranch and tartar sauce were phenomenal! Pull tabs were also a bonus!

It was ok. The cottage fries were mostly burned and dried out 🙁 the ones that weren’t burnt were good. The staff was all teenagers. Many looked like they just rolled out of bed. We got seated right next to the kitchen and you could hear them talking the whole time. Apparently one of them turned 18 and they were all very excited. All the decorations inside need to be dusted. The wooden tables had ruts in them. Which means more places for germs to linger. The outside the paint is falling off everything. The sandwich and burger were good but needed a sauce. I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s not awful but if you’re going out to eat you might as well go somewhere better.
