Excellent place for lunch, brunch and dinner. The food was really good. Seafood chowder, I give it 10/10!! They didn’t have mussels that day so they recommended something else. Love the atmosphere!! I gave 4* for the food because the kidney beans with the fish was a small quantity compared to the rice. But the salmon was very tasty with tandoori sauce!! Highly recommend it! Parking is a problem there though with the construction.

Spent the day in Victoria and found this Indian-French inspired seafood restaurant. The fish and chips were so delicious! The chowder was dairy-free, made with coconut milk. I had a lovely chat with the owner, Mohid, and you can see how much effort and love he put into this restaurant, from how he treats customers, and how he makes everything from scratch. Will definitely return – and I urge you to try!

We went to this place based on a friend’s recommendation. The place is small but warm. The menu isn’t extensive, but it’s precise. The food is delicious! The service is perfect. The people there are very friendly and were very helpful in making some recommendations that we loved. It’s not like the typical Indian food you can find everywhere; this food is full of flavor. 100% recommended.

Visiting from Edmonton, my partner ate here Sept 2025 and raved about it so coming back this spring I was excited to try Fishook. It was incredible, cozy and accessible space, central location and easy to access with transit. The food was some kid the best seasoned and flavourful food I’ve had at a restaurant, everything was so well balanced. You could taste the care and intention put in the food and the head chef was so attentive to all the guests in the restaurant. He checked on us multiple times and was super friendly and kind.
Must visit if you are in the city on a trip or live here. We would be regulars if we lived here for sure.

We had a great visit to this restaurant. The chai tea was the most flavorful we’ve had in town—rich, aromatic, and perfectly spiced.
The biryani was packed with bold, fragrant spices, and the squid was tender and well-cooked. If you’re a fan of squid, this dish is a must-try. However, for those less accustomed to its texture or flavor—like my husband—it might not be as appealing. I thought a bit more texture contrast, such as some crunchy onions or bell peppers, could enhance the overall dish.
The fish and chips were also excellent—the chips were thinly sliced, seasoned with a delicious blend of spices, and the fish was nicely done. The coleslaw had a unique, flavorful sauce that we really enjoyed.
Overall, this place offers exciting flavors and a satisfying dining experience. We’ll definitely be returning!

Hubby and I were in Victoria for a quick getaway. We came here after a quick search on the neighborhood restaurants, and were pleasantly surprised! The seafood hotpot and the biryani were so flavorful and service was absolutely top notch!
