Personally I don’t give 5 star reviews because I always believe that food services organizations are doing their best.
This is an exception to my normal rule, and an exceptional representation of what good food and service should be providing to the customer.
On our 7 day cruise to multiple locations, this will be the only review because this is the only place I had a breath of fresh air after my first bite.
The fry work done on the fish taco was well done and was perfected by the garnishing of fresh cabbage and the expertly crafted salsa and sauce. The culmination of these delivered a bite that was not-too-sweet, spicy and savory all at once.
The green curry chowder, which was originally intrigued us to make the stop here: was so fantastic there was no picture to take because we devoured it. A complex take on a saturated dish in Alaska is brave and should be rewarded with your business.
The truck is staffed by the most friendly service people.
If you’re tired of middling cruise and predatory tourist trap food.

Must visit for elevated treatment of 100% Wild Alaska seafood. From a Thai curry inspired take on a salmon / whitefish chowder, to a smoked sablefish banh mi, there is no one doing more creative work with local product taken from local catch to counter. For more traditional fare the fish “fries” are a crispy succulent sensation and the cod taco rivals any fish taco on the Pacific Ocean from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles or beyond.

This amazing place we found has been the best food in Ketchikan! The absolutely best salmon there. The owner John and his wife told us that our fish was swimming the day prior, we have never tasted such delicious salmon. The the prices were the best anywhere in town and right by the port before boarding our ship. Get the king salmon rice bowl, THE BEST!!!

The cod tacos were delicious! The fish was very flaky and the batter complemented the flavor of the fish very well. The sauce, pineapple, and purple cabbage elevated these tacos. If you like spicy, I recommend trying the Barnacle Piri Piri hot sauce with the tacos.

Fishes and Dishes is the best spot in Ketchikan for Alaskan seafood. Their recipes are very creative and use fish from a local fish processing plant. The sablefish/black cod is a must try. Super friendly staff as well!

Visiting from Texas on Princess Discovery cruise. I got the Salmon Bake sandwich and Fish Fries. The food and service were excellent. Highly recommend.

Had the Ocean Bowl Chowder and was thoroughly impressed. I do like curry but only in some regards so this was a leap of faith and this was really enjoyable. Staff were super friendly and it was a quick turn around. Don’t pass up an opportunity to go especially on a sunny day. Take it from a local that loves fresh seafood you won’t be disappointed.
