They were PACKED! But, I sat at the counter and they took my order in a very timely manner. I got the halibut fish and chips with a cup of clam chowder. The chowder came quickly and was decent. Not the best but good sized bits of clam and potatoes. The halibut was the star! Thick, meaty portions with a delightful breading that have just the right texture! They have a special tarter that was good but different and I’m not sure if it’d be everyone’s taste. I couldn’t put my finger on what they’ve added to the tarter to have it taste the way it does. But, it’s more pale pink/orange than traditional tarter. Overall, pleasant experience. Fast and fairly friendly service although there were two servers for the whole place so they were running! Located right on the docks so lots to see!

Their baskets are always a 10/10, but I’m biased towards fried seafood on the coast. Their outdoor eating area, technically take-out, but whatever, is nice for warmer months. Indoor? It’s nice and relaxed. Their clam chowder is amazing and a great meal paired with a salad if you’re looking a no-frills lighter meal. I’m picky about clam chowder having lived in New England for a while and it hits every note perfectly.

My wife, a friend and I were in Garibaldi. This place was open for lunch. The restaurant was fairly funky inside, albeit clean. The restaurant had a mixture of tables, booths and a long counter with backless stools. We chose a booth.
The efficient waitress immediately showed up and we ordered. We had a shrimp salad, a burger, and a clam strip basket. According to my informants, the shrimp salad was very flavorful and the burger was the best tasting they had had in years. My clam strips had excellent flavor, however, about 40% were tough and hard to bite through while 60% were tender. The basket came with the best French Fries I’ve had in 2023 – very crispy on the outside, hot and soft on the inside. The basket came with an acceptable tartar sauce and some creamy coleslaw. The total bill was $47 and change. Even with a 20% tip, that came out to less than 20 dollars per person, which is normal in these post covid times. Based on our experience I can totally recommend this place.

Been here many times and the fish and fries are delicious. Great coleslaw and tartar sauce which is hard to find.

The food was fresh! I had a salad with the tastiest ranch I’ve ever had. The shrimp and fish were super juicy, even if fried. Clean, Cozy little dinner with friendly staff and an amazing cook.
