Horrible owners, horrible food, hair in chicken tender batter. Owners yelled at our server blaming her for there wrong doing. Sour cream was bad. Everyone is sick throwing up. Will never ever be back, needs to be shut down. Will be contacting health department on Monday.
Server done an amazing job and didn’t deserve to be blamed

Excellent seafood restaurant. Beautiful old vintage building. Food was delicious with great daily specials. All the staff are very sweet, especially our waitress, Dorothy. They are open on Sundays when most seafood restaurants are closed. Highly recommend!

Service was ok, had teenage waitress and she didn’t listen was in a hurry. I ordered whole flounder and it was fried so hard I could barely eat . Everything else was good except the tartar sauce was terrible. Also they have no side options other that fries or baked potato.

Was there Thursday. When we left I was full and I got the small plate of perch!!! The restaurant is in a very elegant Gothic place. It is large and on a main road. We got there at 4 p.m. we were the only people there at least for 30 minutes. But then in an hour the place was full. It is race friendly , family friendly.. if you love fish you should love it. The only thing I did not admire was the tea. It is race friendly. White’s Spanish and black work there and a lot of the customers are the same.
If you are having a birthday wedding or business party they have a huge room for it. It is very clean #restaurant #fishcamp #perch #flounder #party #elegant #goth #gothic #nc #northcarolina #familyfriendly

It was my first time here and I loved it! Good food and good atmosphere. The top star was our waitress! She was awesome. Sweet, respectful and she seemed genuinely happy to be there.
I am ashamed to say I don’t recall her name but she made everything seem fun and special. I even watched her turn a guy from grumpy to trying to hide a smile.
Even had fun when I asked to have my pecan pie as an appetizer instead of dessert.
If you are able to sit at her station please do. You will not regret it. You may even leave feeling like sunshine!

Edit: High prices. Small portions. Ranch dressing did not taste like ranch. Cocktail sauce tasted like BBQ sauce? The tea was good and baked potato. Staff wasn’t too friendly. Probably will not return.

Would’ve given it a 4 but our waitress only checked on us once the whole time we were there. (Ran low on tea and waited a while on the check). The place was not busy at all. Other than that, the food was remarkable. Best hushpuppies that I’ve ever had. The salad was nothing to write home about. The Canadian flounder was awesome. Good flavor and texture. Appeared to be very fresh and flaked easily which is always a good sign when picking it apart. Fantail shrimp was also very tasty and of good size. Salt and peppered anything is $1.25 extra which seemed kind of steep. Overall, we will go back. The food was very tasty but I would suggest the waitresses be more attentive and check on their customers more frequently.

Absolutely disgusting the worst food I’ve ever in my life paid for .
I felt so bad for the server that had to bring that terrible food to our table .The oyster stew was toilet water with a hint of ammonia
Fake scallops and the absolute worst hushpuppys in these united states
I would only recommend this place to my worst enemy

Our waitress was the only good part about the evening. She went above and beyond even though she knew we had every right to be upset . She told us they had a new cook and it showed. My wife and stepdaughter both had broiled seafood platters and the flounder and scallops were raw even after sending them back once . Also my granddaughter ordered a medium-well ribeye steak that came back twice super bloody . We asked for the owner ,who was there , to come talk to us twice twice but he sent his waitress and wouldn’t come out . There was a time when the owner would come out and check on every table asking how everything was . The fact that he wouldn’t show his face and apologize speaks volumes and I will never be back . I should have left when I saw the ” salt and pepper $1.50 extra ” listed on every choice on the menu . Even the hush puppies had hardly any flavor . Take my advice and run when you smell that smell just inside the door .
