Fireplace burning and amazing view of the lake. Our server, Monica, went above and beyond and was so pleasant. We had the all you can eat fish, which is only during the winter on Wednesdays. All I can say is “wow!” The best deep fried fish we have ever had.
My husband had the beef barley soup, lets just say I was wishing I had ordered the soup too. Beef was tender and the flavor was incredible. The owner of the restaurant introduced himself as well and was very welcoming and friendly. During the summer months the restaurant has an accessible dock for access from the lake. We will definitely be back, but next time with friends to share our new favorite find!
Sharables: Seared ahi tuna, Mesquite mushrooms, Mussels. Meals: Nutty Walley, Tuna Poke, Chicken and shrimp, Shrimp with crab stuffed ravioli (the special); Italian sausage and veggie soup. Dessert: carrot cake. I’d recommend 100% of it! Each one of us were “wowed!”
Def worth visiting and def going back!
Let’s start at the beginning. I read reviews about Fisher Lake and they were so spectacular that I grabbed my wife to brave terrible roads and white out conditions to eat here. Bad choice!
The restaurant was full, well beyond 25%. Fine. The service was slow. Fine, it’s the first week with dine in being allowed. Definitely understanding of this. The room was chatty as people were consuming their drinks and waiting for their food. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their time.
We ordered Mesquite Mushrooms for an appetizer. It took awhile to arrive, but eventually it did. Seriously, white caps in butter with mesquite smoke for $11? They were about as average as food can be. Neither good nor bad.
I ordered the special of cavatappi crab and scallops. When it arrived there were 3 scallops, one undercooked, and about a 1/4 cup of crab on a bed of noodles. The sauce was great, though. This was $28, definitely higher than the meal is worth.
My wife ordered Chicken Oscar. I asked how it was and she shrugged her shoulders.. The chicken was not trimmed up properly, she said the taste was “okay”. After poking at it for a few minutes it was boxed up. $26 for maybe a $14 meal.
Wouldn’t that be great if this was the end? It took a long time to get our check and leave. The table next to us had one person send the food back, one person looked like she wanted to cry while poking at her meal, another said said he didn’t like his food but ate it. As more food was delivered to other tables the room was quiet. While leaving we noticed a lot of people were not eating.
My wife wants to return to try a sandwich on the deck. Not me. We left $80 lighter and exceptionally disappointed. 2 stars because my wife would go back.
