This is the place to be. If you want some of the best soul food in the area this place has it all. The fried catfish, red, snapper, macaroni and cheese, fried okra, the health bar, cheesecake, the candy yams, fried shrimp, and so much more it’s so good and you will definitely leave there with a full stomach and a satisfied craving. All of their food comes out cooked to order and fresh. They give you good portions and it’s a lot. I’m definitely coming back with a lot of my friends. Go support the local soul food restaurant. You will not be disappointed.

This was my second time going and it did not disappoint. I came by myself the first time and brought in my family this time around. We were greeted upon entry by a nice smile and a man who was patient enough to let us order exactly what we wanted. Our order came out within about 10 minutes hot and fresh. We enjoyed a couple different types of fish with all the fixings. Everything was to our liking. We’ll definitely be back again.

The food was good. It seemed to be seasoned well, but the fish and greens could use more salt. The Mac & cheese was good. It seemed that the food was seasoned for a more health conscious clientele. The homemade tartar sauce was tasty.
There was a teenager taking my order. He was nice and with it being a new establishment he needed help placing the order. Everyone was friendly.
The interior was nice and roomy. You can sit down and eat there; however, it doesn’t appear that it is targeted for a primarily sit down customer like the previous establishment in that location was.
All in all I recommend this place. There aren’t many places in Ontario to get good soul food or fish. For the price (half off lunches on Monday) I WILL BE EATING HERE AGAIN!

I was excited to try this place for lunch. The customer service was dry to say the least. You’re just standing there before they acknowledge you and when they do, their greeting feels unwelcoming. I got the lunch special for $7.60 which came with two pieces of fish, two hush puppies, a roll, and a choice of a side option (I chose mac and cheese).
The fish was pretty good, the hush puppies were HARD, and the mac was not good (to me).

Catfish and shrimp really good had a nice crisp. Potato also good! Wish the greens had a little more flavor but overall good. Can’t wait to go back and try more!

Food is absolutely terrible. The tilapia fish is extremely old and double fried and the salmon is greasy for it to be grilled. I would never order from this restaurant again. Customer Service is good, but the food is not.

We ordered the Red Snapper and Filet of Sole. Unfortunately, the fish was disappointing, neither fish dish was served hot, and the sole was mostly breading with very little actual fish. The snapper seemed like it may have been previously cooked, as it was tough and difficult to chew.
On the positive side, the sides were much better. The fries were served hot and were very tasty. The potato salad had great flavor, and the yams were a bit over-seasoned, but still enjoyable overall.

If I could give no stars that’s what I will do but first – i ordered the catfish and shrimp fried I was excited to order because of the reviews but I see nw the reviews are lies because they make you do 5 stars for this restaurant the fish was tasting just Like it was not cleaned just cooked the greens was ok a little spicy but came out the can of course the red beans and rice was horrible the meat so small I almost didn’t see it plus the Mac and cheese must was cooked last week because it was hard bt very greasy of course I just spent 44$ on a meal I couldn’t even eat it was that bad I’m just telling the truth that’s it that’s all last bt not least the shrimp was ok I did eat that no lies detected Hated it I’m not gone lie
