Service was great, atmosphere was ok with tvs and island vibe, but was fairly warm in the restaurant, little uncomfortable, not very busy for a Saturday evening either.
I was excited to try seafood at a local restaurant, and Fishack looked like an awesome place to eat .
I arrived around 4 pm, and the place was empty.
I ordered the special of the day, which was fried grouper and fries ” fish n chips” , with a Piña Colada , the dish came with a side of coleslaw and french fries with ol’bay seasoning. The grouper was completely bland, and the fries were decent , with a hint of seasoning and crispy. The side of coleslaw was very, very small , not bigger than a large dipping sauce container.
The Piña Colada wasn’t blended enough , I could taste the mixture and ice separately. The decore was your typical beach vibe decore with sea life pictures and beer signs all over , a bit outdated.
The waitress was nice and attentive and very polite.
I hope they improve the food quality so they can stay in business for a long time.
It isn’t too crowded, and there was no wait on a Saturday night. There wasn’t a long wait for food. Our waiter seemed very busy, but he was still kind and attentive.
At no fault of their own, the parking lot across from them is paid. If you show them your receipt for parking, they will take off the cost of parking, which is more than most restaurants will do. I am unsure if street parking is free, but it is very limited.
My boyfriend got the shrimp basket with sweet potato tots for an upcharge. I got the fish tacos and they were pretty good (came out alittle undercooked so needed it cooked alittle more) One of my friends got the special swordfish/shrimp and it looked amazing. Peanut butter pie was amazing. Some things I definitely want to go back and try so we will be returning.
