My green beans were cajun fried. I didn’t care for that. Hush puppies were very good. But the part that really got me was the Red fish was Tilapia fish and the (Ice tea and soda machine) beverages were not working well.

Love this little place. When I crave fried Cajun seafood in Sugar Land that’s affordable in a smaller cozy setting, this is where I go. I like the fried Cajun catfish and redfish and the etoufee.

This place always hits the spot on Fridays. They are one of the few places that has an amazing seafood platter, gumbo and fried seafood. My favorites are the grilled fish. I can go a week without their grilled seasoned fish. They also have a blackened fish which is cooked to perfection. They also have crawfish etouffee, shrimp etouffee, shrimp creole, shrimp jambalaya, shrimp Alfredo pasta, chicken Alfredo pasta, and Cajun pasta. Their customer service is always friendly. They always greet you with a smile and will help you order if it’s your first time. They also have some great sides such as mixed mixed vegetables, jambalaya rice, green beans, french fries, hush puppies, onion rings, coleslaw, green salad, Caesar salad, and a baked potato. They also have some great combos where you can mix and match catfish and redfish and chicken tenders. They also have popcorn shrimp, Cajun crawfish tails, and jumbo shrimp. If you come to this place you wanna be disappointed. Also highly recommended coleslaw. The place is always kept clean and fresh. They always keep The place smelling fresh. You do not smell any type of fishy smell. That means they are using fresh seafood all the time. If you haven’t been at this place then I highly recommend it.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed. The menu advertised the fish to be “catfish”. However, this is definitely not catfish. It’s probably “swaii”. I specially asked if it was catfish and was told yes. The oysters were not fresh and full of green poop with a overly fishy smell. The rice was literally straight out of a bag (i.e. uncle ben’s microwave rice). The green beans were good and the shrimp was decent.It definitely didn’t taste like the photo looks.

The catfish is fried very well and the prices are reasonable. It’s no frills but you get fast and friendly service. They don’t make it ’til you order it. They have many combinations of seafood and even chicken for the kids. They got regular fish and chips, fish and shrimp, fish and chicken and even kids meals. The family meals offer the best value and you can share it family style. No doubt I will come here when I crave seafood but don’t need the fancy stylings of the large seafood restaurants.
