The owner of this place is wonderful. We visited on Mother’s Day, it was about 5 minutes after regular closing time, but they sat us down anyway. The wait staff was really friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We came from a seafood town, so we were pleasantly surprised that the seafood was tasty. I ordered the seafood sampler, which was plentiful and filling. We also ordered the boom boom shrimp which was also tasty, even though it was not spicy. We saved a little room for dessert, the strawberry cheesecake was light and delightful. The fried bread pudding was crunchy and good. I definitely reccomend this place.

Here’s my honest review on the Fish Net Family Restaurant. Okay, so my family has ate at fish net since the 90s. We’ve celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions and special occasions many different times. I absolutely love the food there and highly recommend that you try it. Everything has okay, but up until recently. I’ve noticed some obvious changes in there recipes that just didn’t appeal to me. I was big fan of The Captain’s Platter and The Set Up. I’ve always been a big fan of there crab cakes and hush puppies, but up until recently, I noticed a big change in there recipe. I remember when the crab cakes use to be loaded with onion and pepper. They had really good flavor. Unfortunately now, it was just a bland mix of salt and pepper. It tasted more like shell stuffed with corn bread than crab meat and I know I’m not crazy, but I one hundred percent certain that they used to put corn in there hush puppies and I loved that. That’s what separated there dish from any other seafood restaurant. Now the fried shrimp was good, but it didn’t taste like the fried shrimp I grew up with. There wasn’t enough batter and it was a little bit rubbery. The catfish was okay, didn’t exactly have that fresh off the grill taste it used to have. And the fried clam? It was all right, but all I could tasted was the batter and the grease. I was also very disappointed that the fried mushrooms were taken off the menu. That was a important staple for my family. They always ordered fried mushrooms. Well, they had a good thing going. I don’t understand why they changed there recipe. I thought it gave there restaurant that wholesome country hospitality feel to it that appealed to a lot of customers. It actually made me want to go to Lake and spend the days fishing. I usually love there food, but this time it was a little bit bland and it didn’t exactly taste like a southern fried supper to meal. I believe that they can do better and make room for improvements. Oh and bring back the fried mushrooms!

We stopped in while passing through on a trip and man I am happy I did! The food was great, I had the shrimp and grits. The grits and shrimp where cooked perfectly and the sauce was fantastic! Wife had the creole pasta and it was prepared just as well. All the side dishes where amazing and so was the service. We finished with the bread pudding and Luke everything else it was amazing. Will plan this stop in my next travels.

Decided to give Fish Net another try tonight. For just shy of $20 a plate you get very sub par ,mostly fried just okay food. I ordered the Louisianan Etoufe’. The rice looked and tasted as if it was boxed instant rice. The crawfish was not fresh, tasted like plastic container. I couldn’t even try the catfish underneath it all.

Food was amazing, they provide “the spread” with every meal that includes amazing beans, coleslaw, hush puppies & perfect green tomato relish. Tons of food for the price & a laid back friendly hometown feel. Best crab cakes I’ve had & I lived in FL for 8 years.

In Arkansas visiting my aunt and was on our way home from Little Rock. Googled somewhere to eat and this place popped up. We both had ribeyes, catfish filets and all the fixings. Was excellent food! Our waitress was awesome and even got to talk to the owner. TRY THE TOMATO RELISH!

I am a catfish fiend… This place knocks all the boxes out the park… Pickled green tomatoes, kidney beans, fine cut Cole Slaw that’s equal parts sweet and sour, the catfish itself is local!!! One of the owners walked over to introduce themselves to me as I was finishing my meal. I can’t leave here without taking every last drop of food with me in a to-go box, because I don’t want to waste anything. Please stop by this establishment and understand why I’m leaving this review!
