We had a fantastic dining experience at Fish Market. We started with the crab dip, which was rich, creamy, and full of real crab flavor. We also ordered the homemade bread with tomato oil topped with nut-free pesto, and it was absolutely delicious — fresh, warm, and packed with flavor.
I had the New York So(b)ur mocktail (chilled black tea, maple syrup, lemon juice, aquafaba, and pomegranate juice), and it was a standout — refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully crafted.
For dinner, I enjoyed the Chilean sea bass, perfectly cooked and flaky with a buttery finish. My husband had the stuffed flounder, which he loved. Both entrées were seasoned wonderfully and tasted incredibly fresh.
For dessert, my husband ordered the brownie sundae, which was warm, rich, and indulgent — a perfect way to end the meal.
Our server, Justine, was excellent — friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. The manager, Joseph, also stopped by our table to check on us, which was a thoughtful touch and made us feel truly welcomed. The level of hospitality here really stands out.
Great food, great service, and a warm atmosphere — we’ll definitely be back!

I have worked multiple events (weddings and corporate events) as an Emcee/DJ for events at Fish Market. The catered food was always wonderful and staff..class act. Last night, my boyfriend and I had the night off for Valentine’s Day and booked a reservation to have the full dining experience for ourselves. This was his first time at Fish Market. The hostess and server were very accommodating and kind as we were sat early and menu options were thoughtfully explained. Each course was so flavorful.. from the She Crab soup and delicious fresh bread dipped in Tomato basil pesto to the surf and turf then coffee crem brûlée… Absolutely delicious and five stars to the chef. This is now a definite favorite for dining options in the Fort Mill area. Thank you for the perfect Valentine’s meal. We will be back!

We went there for New Year’s Eve dinner. I got their signature sea bass (over cooked, very crusty bottom. You can tell it was seared off earlier then finished off on a sheet pan for service. The mushroom risotto was plain old ordinary button mushrooms. Some chanterelles or creminis would’ve really made it better) and my date had the stuffed salmon, no complaints. The vegetables had a nice bite to them. The brie cheese appetizer was super under par, hard as a rock. That cheese should be creamy and spreadable. The salmon appetizer wasn’t that great either, not much flavor at all. We did have a great waitress though! The best thing hands down was the bread that is made in house.

This place is such a gem in a quiet little town. My server was Nina and although the bar area got extremely busy, she took great care of me. Everything was delicious starting with the Caprese salad…perfectly balance of flavors caused this to totally disappear. Be very careful with the bread they serve…you can easily consume multiple servings it is so good. The Chilean Sea Bass was perfectly cooked and the compliment of the ginger risotto, Asian tomato relish, and sweet soy glaze made for a wonderful dish. Great service and incredible food!!!

The lobster mac & cheese was absolutely bland and extremely dry! I can’t even believe whoever made it thought that it was good. There were literally 3 pieces of lobster in the entire bowl. If this is going to be the same, I wouldn’t order it again. The Korean fried chicken wings and pan seared mahi mahi were decent, but the wings did NOT come with a choice of dipping sauce. For the total order to be $62, it was a disappointment and especially since I’ve had better orders previously.
Update— tonight, I decided to give Fish Market another try and ordered the brussel sprouts (the taste was OK) & jumbo limp crab cake; as you can clearly see— the crab cake was FAR FROM JUMBO.

Return visit. Food has always been consistent and delicious. Service again was great. Parking can be tough so give yourself time to find parking. They have a few outside dome seating for a party of 8.
Adding update to this review. Including current menu.

An Unforgettable Event with Exceptional Service!
I had the most amazing experience at The Fish Market in Tega Cay, SC! In just one week, all while I planned this from New Jersey, Selina helped me pull together my mom’s 90th birthday celebration, and it could not have been more perfect.
Selina was responsive, easy to contact, and even sent me photos of the venue so I could match the décor. She gave me early access to decorate and was right there making sure every detail was flawless, from printed menus to personally cutting cake for each guest.
Her staff was outstanding! Lorelei was a godsend, helping me with décor and flowers on a tight decorating timeline. And Ashley’s sweet disposition made everyone feel so welcome. And the food! Guests are still talking about that salmon! Every dish was delicious and served at the perfect temperature.
For the level of service and quality we received, the price was an absolute bargain. We received truly high-end service without the high-end price tag. My mom was thrilled, my guests were happy, and I’m beyond grateful.
Thank you, Fish Market! You have a customer for life!

This is my first time at the fish market in Baxter village in Fort Mill. I made reservations for 7:00 for two people and was able to walk right in. I have someone in a wheelchair and was able to be seated at an appropriate table. The wait staff was excellent and so was the food. The fresh bread is phenomenal and they give you a tomato basil oil type dipping sauce with it. That was unique and delicious. We had the muscles for an appetizer which were great, The broth was divine. My friend had the Chilean sea bass and I had the Fig glazed salmon. Both were presented beautifully and tasted as good as they looked. Our waitress was very attentive and all around a great server. Will definitely be back!

This has to be one of the best restaurants we have been to since moving here in 2002. The service, specifically Gabby, was impeccable. The food was marvelous. We were there for Queen’s Feast, Charlotte restaurant week, and we ordered off that menu. I had the salmon which was fabulous and my husband had the chicken pot pie which was really good. Of course, I didn’t have much as he very sparingly gave me a taste! Bread pudding for dessert was awesome. Oops. Almost forgot the she crab soup. Wonderful. And the pum runch, yes you read that right, was to die for. We will definitely be back. So glad we went.

This was an absolutely delightful experience. Our server, Dawn, took excellent care of us—she was friendly, attentive, and bubbly, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. The lobster mac and cheese was delicious and generously packed with lobster. The chicken and waffles were fantastic, especially with the authentic maple syrup. The stuffed French toast was also tasty, and the apple compote was flavorful, though I think it would be even better with the summer fruits. Overall, this was an amazing experience, with delicious food and wonderful service.
