The Fish District in Solana Beach is an absolute gem! They have fish tacos, seafood platters but also steak bowls and salads if you are not as into seafood. This is a great place to go for lunch with friends, on your own, or for a date. The environment is friendly and casual, yet not dingy. The Marinated Skirt Steak Bowl was delicious! I already love their tacos; the Grilled Shrimp and Fried Fish Tacos are wonderful. I like switching the tortillas to flour and adding avocado. Yum. Baja Style toppings are my favorite, but the Costal toppings are good too.

I ordered three tacos. I didn’t realize: they were flour tortillas and I’m allergic to flour. They wouldn’t change out the flour for corn. I even offered to pay extra, they wouldn’t allow me to. In the grand scheme of life- not a big deal- I get it. but come on- where is decency and caring service these days. It’s so easy to say ok ma’am we will throw in a few corn tortillas for you. It’s just lame. This place treat you like a number. I’m a local and won’t be going back and will tell all my friends as well.
