First time here. Our server Shawn was fantastic! Knew the menu really well and described everything perfectly!!! We tried the garlic toast and hush puppies for appetizers and both were outstanding!!! Unfortunately they were out of trout for the night which made me sad but ended up getting the fried catfish instead and it did not disappoint! Other people in our party had pasta and they about licked the bowl clean! Definitely, will be back!

Usually have a good experience. Staff is nice. Beer is super cold. Usually we have the fried shrimp but decided to branch out yesterday and try some of the other seafood. I usually will not send food back but it was inedible. While they took the food off the bill I was a little surprised that a manager didn’t come by the table. Seemed like there was no management present. The service wasn’t as good as normal.

Great staff! Escargot may be the best I have ever had and they are very generous with it. OTOH, the patio is just plain dirty. The food is good, but priced like an upscale restaurant rather than a rather dim, dingy, very casual place. Also, I simply hate to be lied to. They claim that virtually all of their seafood is fresh. I simply don’t believe them. It’s good, but tastes like good frozen rather than fresh. Besides, there is no way on Earth that a place that does so little business could afford to be all fresh. You can’t be throwing a bunch of seafood away every day and stay open. Also, I am damned is I am going to pay $40 for a tough, flavorless steak. They don’t advertise is as such, but they tell you subtly: “grass fed.” I don’t get people who want it. All of the flavor and tenderness in a steak is in the marbling which come from being grain fed.

I ordered steak, asparagus (because the menu said Joe Lane recommended it) and jalapeno grits. We had to substitute mixed veggies for the asparagus. The food was good, steak cooked to perfection, although I am not a fan of the chunky seasoning. I would recommend that the restaurant get a good cleaning because it desperately needs it. Staff was friendly.

My husband, daughter and I have eaten at this restaurant ever since Joe opened it. All of our special occasions, after Sunday Church and occasional weekends, we enjoy the food here. Atmosphere is casual and comfy. The food served up is the best in the area including Fort Worth. If Joe is at the restaurant, he’ll come out and chat with you. The food is not too pricey, but yet you receive food to die for. He does have Cajun style seafood, but has non-Cajun style also. On occasion, he has lobster-which is fantastic and cooked perfect. We have never had a bad meal and have eaten here at least 50 times. The desserts are great too especially the cheese cakes.

Food took 40 minutes after ordering and was average at best. The place was empty. There were only six customers, at two tables. The bread served with my dish was hard as a rock and the fish was a small portion. My girlfriend’s chorizo was also hard and dry. Her avacado was black. The waitress was slow and inattentive. Overpriced for the quality of the food and service. Will not go again and would not recommend. You would do better at Olive Garden or Saltwater Seafood House in Weatherford.

I have lived nearby for years but just now recently tried this place because we got a gift card here. There are plenty of options for people who don’t care for seafood as much including brick oven pizzas. The food and service were excellent both times I have visited. I will definitely be coming back to try other things from the menu.

We went on a Thursday night it was very busy. The food was great but not a lot of fish options for a place with it’s name. Everyone at our table really enjoyed their meal. Our waiter was very nice, friendly and attentive. He seemed a little overwhelmed.
