We were out with a large group and the service and food were excellent. Barry was super and gave great recommendations. The bouillabaise was delicious, also the soft shell crab. Pudding was Guinness and Chocolate cake which was light and fluffy. Looking forward to coming back soon!

I had such a wonderful experience at Fish City in Belfast city centre. The food is incredibly fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. This is not your average fish and chips – the quality, flavour, and presentation really stand out, showing how much they value their customers.
The service is outstanding, friendly, and attentive, making the whole visit even more enjoyable. The meals are simply fabulous, and the prices are very reasonable for the high level of food and service provided.
I’m really grateful I had the chance to dine here, and we’ll definitely be coming back. A true gem in Belfast that deserves a lot of attention

During our guided tour of Belfast with the girls, we stopped at Fish City—and it turned out to be more than just a lunch spot. The location is ideal, right in the centre, and it felt like a natural extension of the city’s vibe. Our guide shared local stories that made the experience even richer, especially as we learned about Belfast’s maritime roots while tucking into beautifully cooked seafood. The fish and chips were crisp and fresh, and the prawn tacos were a fun surprise. The service was warm and attentive, and I really appreciated their sustainability efforts. The only reason I’m not giving five stars is the pricing—some dishes felt a bit steep—but the quality and atmosphere made up for it. A memorable and tasty way to connect with the city!

Ridiculously expensive. The service was great, the food was great, the price was insane. Based on the prices alone, I would not go back nor would I recommend anyone to go there. We went because it was late, they were about the only place open for fish&chips, but no way should anyone pay these prices and no way should a place be charging these prices. 2 orders of fish and chips and 2 pints of Guinness over 90 pounds.

My second visit here. The staff are always especially friendly which is lovely. The calamari was a massive hit for us, perfectly balanced flavours, the sauce was so good. I do commend this restaurant for having really large and juicy prawns which I enjoyed with the scampi dish and tacos. My only criticism with the tacos was there was a slight bitter aftertaste, not sure if that was overcooked batter, old oil, or something in the relish. I really enjoyed the overall experience.

There’s a sign outside that says £15 fish & chips, doesn’t state only lunch time. Go in and the cheapest fish and chips is £22.
Service was slow and not that friendly.
Also 12.5% service charge is added. If you have that charge at least have good service. Toilets were dirty and the floor under the table wasn’t clean.

We came here as it was advertised as the best fish and chips in the UK, if you want bang average at best here is your place.
I can’t say it was bad but in no way was it any good either.
You’d have a much better time at a standard chipshop and pay half the price.

Me and my husband got married this weekend and spent our evening at fish city. It was a truly wonderful evening and if I could give more stars I would! As soon as we walked in we felt so welcome and like they were celebrating with us. The food was absolutely stunning. They happily accommodated our table of 9 (pre booked) and food and drinks arrived promptly, piping hot and absolutely delicious- we were doted on all evening and truly had the most fabulous time. Cocktails and drinks were also delicious. They are truly wonderful and I hope we can visit again before we move overseas. 1000/10 experience thank you all from the bottom of our hearts. Two particular members of staff (you know who you are!) made our night and were just so lovely. THANK YOU ❤️
