Haven’t been to this location before. We really like Fish City and this location did not disappoint. Clean, quality service and quality food. For the first time ever, I tried a non-fish dish and went with their roast beef. It was excellent. Just like Grandma used to make. Amazing thin onion rings on top of a large portion of fork tender roast with mashed potatoes and a few carrots. Amazing flavor and portion. My wife had the seared ahi tuna tacos. They were cooked perfectly with a nice citrus flavor and came why Cuban beans and rice (think dirty rice). Service by Ty was excellent. I highly recommend this location. The non-alcohol mojito was excellent and the golden margarita was amazing with a slight hint of orange.

My mom and I stopped into Fish City Grill on our mother–daughter trip on January 6, 2026 around noon, and it was her very first time visiting. From the moment we walked in, every employee was busy working yet still took the time to greet us warmly. That set the tone for what turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time.
Our waitress, Kailah, was an absolute standout. Truly the best. She was incredibly sweet, patient as we made our choices, and her recommendations were spot‑on. She and the manager both checked on us throughout our visit and even boxed up our leftovers for us with care. Their attention made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued.
The atmosphere was clean, inviting, and comfortable — a full 10/10.
Staff friendliness and service? 10/10.
Food quality? 10/10.
Management presence and hospitality? 10/10.
Cleanliness? 10/10.
We ordered the Oyster Nachos, the Appetizer Sampler (Fried Pickles, Chips & Crab Queso, Calamari with dipping sauces), the Arctic Char, and the Seared Cod with Coconut Orzo. Every single dish was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. Not a single miss.
My mom and I agreed before we even left: we’ll be stopping here on every trip going forward. Fish City Grill made our afternoon special, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

My husband and I had been wanting to eat some catfish for a while, but we always found something wrong with each place we thought about going. So we got on Google in search of some fish restaurants and we came across the Fish City Grill. We live just down the street from the restaurant so we got ready and drove over there. We both ordered the Fried Catfish plate, it came with 2 hush puppies and two sides. Once our order was delivered to our table we were mesmerized by just how succulent their melt in your mouth fried catfish was. We’ve eaten a lot of Catfish in our lives but none has ever even come close to just how good their fish is. On the downside, we didn’t care for any of the sides. I don’t know if it was because the fish was so good that we just didn’t care for the sides or if they were just left with a bland taste. Before leaving we asked for a “ToGo” box for each of us and we both packed up our remaining fish and some of their amazing tarder sauce and left the side dishes on the table barely touched. We inquired if next time we could order the fish with no sides and we’re told yes of course and the price would be adjusted accordingly. Since that day, I’ve had a many of dreams about that perfect catfish melting in my mouth and literally becoming the very best catfish that either of us have ever eaten. We did finish off our leftovers with equal enthusiasm. Now that I think about it, I think it’s time for another trip over to the Fish City Grill in Waco, Texas for some of that dreamy catfish. Well I know we’re going, I just hope maybe we’ll see you there as well. I mean after all, what do you have to lose? You need to try the best catfish you’ve never ate to understand just how good it truly is! You’ll know us by our catfish only plates and the smiles on our faces. Go….Try….Love!

The Fish City Grill is an absolute GEM! I had the garlic caper grilled salmon. With green beans and hushpuppies. The food was amazing and the wait staff was very friendly. I didn’t get the bartenders name but she was the nicest person. Will definitely be back to this place and I highly recommend it.

I came with my boyfriend and parents for my dad’s birthday and had a fantastic experience! This was my first time here and the food was delicious, service was excellent and quick as well. I really loved our server, she was extremely sweet and didn’t hesitate to make our first time an enjoyable one. I really wish I got her name but everyone there seemed amazing. Would recommend this place!

Bartender Jose is incredible. All servers are great. Food is always presented beautifully and is delicious. There is something for everybody. They have healthy low calorie options like salmon and spinach and beer battered cod with fries. The lobster grilled cheese is surprisingly tasty. The east coast oysters are the best. And if fish is not your thing, they have chicken and sausage over red beans and rice. You will love it!

Everything from the start was perfect! Abigail took wonderful care of us. We tried the lobster ravioli and calamari along with their jalapeño soup, clam chowder soup! Their cocktail was delicious and my time with my kids was well worth it! I can’t wait to bring my dad for Father’s Day here!

The service and quality of food was outstanding. This was our second trip back and it was all because our first trip was such a great experience and we especially love good seafood. We would highly recommend this restaurant. Also want to do a shout out to Jordan our server for her excellent service. The interim manager from Dallas which was there both times we were in was very accommodating and welcoming to us. We look forward to our next visit back.

It was delicious. I had the red fish special at $27.00. I was expecting a feast, but I was satisfied with the flavors. Red fish, 2 shrimp, crab butter over the shrimp, and fish set on a pillow of creamy Parmigiano rice. Very good, just wish I had more. The burger was just ok, not impressed. The patty was dry and needed more flavor. Key lime pie was ok 6 out of 10. The patron margarita was nice. Overall, I recommend fish city grill for someone who wants to have the red fish special.

Great seafood spot! Tasted great and the service was wonderful! Highly recommend if you’re in the neighborhood and craving some seafood. The gumbo was salty and mild. The fish was tender and seasoned well. The oysters were good and the shrimp was great! Even the broccoli florets were seasoned well! They had a beefy flavor seared into them. The hushpuppies were sweet with a crispy outside and soft inside. Wish they were a bit bigger, but complimented the meal well. The coleslaw had a nice apple vinaigrette taste. I’ll have to stop by again if I’m back in town for business!
