This location is my favorite. I just love everything about FISH CITY Grill. Shout out to Kasey and Mike two great managers who will make sure your experience is everything. Now make sure you try some Gumbo, fried green tomatoes, shrimp or catfish po’boy . Weekly specials are listed on the chalk board. I recently had the crab cake BLT.

I had a lite lunch of gumbo and crab cake. I did notice the arugula salad dressing was a bit salty but the flavor was excellent. The crab cake was a good size for an appetizer. Lots of lump crab meat and a nice seasoning. The gumbo was really good and spicy! I liked the blend of fish, shrimp, sausage and chicken. Just the right amount of rice and okra too!

Perhaps my fault. I ordered a low protein, high fat and sodium meal. But the quality was not what I remember from other Fish City Grill locations. The fries weren’t wimpy, but I would guess they were made some time ago and reheated. Old inside and not much potato, crunchy and too salty. The hush puppies not any better, could have played pool with them. The fried cod was fine, hot and tasty. Not a good malt vinegar. Tarter sauce was OK, but I prefer more Tarter and dill. Definitely will swap the fries for something else if I ever have this again. The service was excellent, though this was a pretty tame late afternoon meal. I only rated the atmosphere down because when I ate here with my daughter many months ago, it was a noisy human cage. I don’t recommend busy times unless you like your head getting rattled around. It appears not so busy times, the food suffers, at least my dish did. Oh well, such is life.

This experience was better than my first. Appetizer and food was delicious. I got the fried cod and shrimp with fries and hushpuppies. The cod & shrimp was so good with all the sauces provided. My hushpuppies were undercooked. Service was great. Banana pudding was pretty good, bread pudding was ok but not the best. Overall I would come back again.

We have been coming to FCG ever since they opened in Waxahachie. Almost always get the fish and chips with a generous portion of 3 pieces. We moved to Cleburn but still make it a point to eat here when we are in Hachie. Last time was in Dec 2025.
Today got an order of Fish and chips and the portion size was very small. Not like in the picture on this web page of your restaurant. I brought this to the attention of our server. She offered to remake but said that’s the portion size. Either portion size has changed since December or somthing fishy is going on. Disappointed. Manager came around but wife said leave it alone. We will come back and hope to see a better portion size next time. My catfish portion was as I usually see it. I wish I took a picture.

Where do I start?? This resto here in Hachie doesn’t feel like you’re in Hachie. There’s a stellar patio that sits upon a man-made lake.
From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth, and the experience just kept getting better from there.
The food was incredible — so fresh you could taste the quality in every bite. The portion sizes were generous, and the variety on the menu made it hard to choose (in the best way!). Every dish was bursting with flavor — clearly made with care and love.
But what made our visit truly unforgettable was the amazing service. A huge shout-out to Kenzie, our waitress, who was bubbly, friendly, and beyond helpful. She made us feel right at home with her energy and attentiveness, and she’s a big reason we’ll definitely be back.
