I ordered on UberEats & even though y’all gave me collard greens instead of candied yams, I’m still giving 5 stars because baby that fish was seasoned & fried to perfection!! Don’t even get me started on the shrimp. The food was delicious and well worth every penny. You will be getting my money again.

recently ordered from them.Had fish and french fries. The fish was seriously mid and didn’t really blow my hair back small pieces of fish and they had no flavor. I find this kind of strange because these are the same people who owned Duncan‘s Fish on myrtle Avenue in Clinton Hill. their food is pretty good wasn’t excited about this. Listen… whoever cooked my food at Fish and Amp Chips must’ve been fighting for their life in that kitchen, because everything on my plate was soft, sad, and completely unseasoned. The fish was so soggy it looked like it just got out of therapy, the shrimp tasted like they quit halfway through being shrimp, and the fries? Bro, those fries were one sprinkle of salt away from being packing peanuts.
I don’t know who decided to call this place It Ain’t Just Fish — but they were right. It’s also disappointment, regret, and a side of “why did I pay for this?” If they could just add a little seasoning — maybe a dash of ambition — they might have something. Until then, I’ll be seasoning my own tears after this meal.

Update : fried fish fell off. They changed the batter it used to be nice and crunchy now the batter so thick it’s like cake around my fish . Not sure why y’all changed it but this isn’t it sorry.
Whiting is good & fresh. Happy they separated the fish from the bread so it wasn’t soggy when it arrived. received 4 big pieces of whiting and not small nub pieces like other restaurants. only thing that’s bad is the packet tartar sauce. It’s really nasty and has a heavy vinegar taste. Woulda gave it 5 stars but I was left eating a dry sandwich.

Very acceptable local takeout fried fish joint. The fried shrimp and catfish were good, the sides tasty and the service friendly.

Awesome little fish spot in the heart of Bed Stuy. Stop in to try some of the whiting fish based on the great reviews. I was completely satisfied with my dinner plate of 4 pieces of whiting with a side of mac n cheese and collard greens. The collard greens seasoned just right for me. The mac n cheese very cheesy. Just the way I like it. Plan to return soon for the pan of whiting. Although, them jumbo shrimp is sounding mighty good right about now. You can always add the flavors that you want to spice it up. You can’t take it out if it’s overly seasoned.
