A fish restaurant with a fantastic quality products. They make their own olive oil and serve fish prepared in traditional ways. The owner can be a bit rough around the edges but he tries his best to accommodate guests. Recommended.

Be careful! Be careful! Be careful! Although the food in the restaurant is of high quality, the owner of the restaurant behaves dishonestly regarding the price of the fish.
We ordered 3 fish dishes, and he did not let us clearly understand that each fish would cost 70 euros, and then he surprised us with the bill. Very exorbitant price for sea bass dishes.
A very unpleasant experience, if you still go in, make sure several times in advance how much it will cost you. According to previous reviews I understand that there is a strategy here.
I recommend that you find another place.

Excellent and fresh seafood. We had the calamari and the branzino. The appetizer bread was fresh and warm. The olive oil is made by the owner’s family and he even showed us pictures of the harvesting! The calamari was perfectly cooked. The branzino was baked in a salt crust. The fish melted in our mouths. The wine pairing was spot on. The wine was a local one from where the fish was caught. But that’s not the best part… Mato makes you feel like you’re special. He takes care of you in his place. He takes time to tell you about the dishes and ingredients. This is a special restaurant and we will definitely be coming back. See you here at this top notch restaurant.

Food recommendations were superb. Fish pate went very well with the homemade bread. Even olive oil was made by owner. Croatian wine was fantastic. One order was not enough. Cold variation appetizer was amazing. Black truffle risotto and Seppia risotto were fantastic! Highly recommended.

By luck we picked this surprisingly good restaurant, location is not in a fancy neighborhood, but we really had a fantastic dinner tonight, absolutely recommended for fish lovers.
Mathon was really nice, we had good recommendations for food, as well saw his passion of Croatia. Everyone of us was amazed by the quality the taste and the service, even the home made bread… We will come back for sure!
Now Croatia becomes the must go place on my list, because of experience in this restaurant :))

We are from Chicago, Illinois and staying in the neighborhood looking for a nice place to eat dinner in our list night in Vienna. The food was excellent, wonderful service and the owners were extremely outgoing and friendly. we would definitely go back if we are in Vienna.
