We stopped in for an after lunch, early dinner. We weren’t looking for a spot necessarily but definitely glad we did. Very cozy feel, definitely family friendly. Good drink options and appetizers as well. We had a fish sandwich and a Reuben and both were excellent. Service is super fast and the staff is really friendly.

Very busy but you can order from the bar while you wait. Server was friendly as was all the staff we encountered. Food was good, chicken was slightly salty but crispy.

This place is about a good old’ up north tavern/ inn as you can get! The portions are very generous, the staff is cheerful and kind, and the building is really cool. I recommend one of the burgers. The burgers come with a very complete tray of toppings. I can’t wait to come back!

Fischer’s locally known simply as “Happy Hour” is an absolute gem. Family owned it has an old townie feel to it, nothing fancy but everything works. The service is top notch, and extremely friendly. I love going to Happy Hour because it just feels so cozy, you don’t find places like this anymore. Can’t recommend it enough!

My wife and I had dinner at the Happy Hour Tavern last night. This place has a great up north feel with a cozy laid-back atmosphere. We were greeted with a friendly smile and seated almost immediately. We beat the rush. Our server was also very friendly and very helpful with the description of the menu. The menu is not gluten-free friendly, however there are a couple items that can be made gluten-free. One of them being the smoked pork chop which my wife enjoyed very much. She actually used the word “succulent” when she described it to me. I had the fried walleye fillets and they were also very good. The music was great, the food was great, and the service was great! Do yourself a favor and try this one out. You won’t regret it.

Great little place that doesn’t seem to change. I was last here in 1991 and it was just as good! Have the Walleye Special or the Chicken Dinner. You won’t be disappointed.

I love this place, we’ve been coming here since the late 90s/early 2000s. The fried cauliflower and “special sauce” are always amazing. Soup selection and fish of the day are also something I think about mid Winter missing northern Michigan. It’s a Leelanau Staple to us.

We go for the White Fish and stay for the Cream Puff but substitute peppermint ice cream in place of whipped cream. Yummy. 11/07/2017… for her birthday lunch Walleye sandwiches, spinach salad and the must have a Creampuff with peppermint ice cream…. 1/16/2024 Birthday takeout of the boasted chicken dinner. So good as a once a year spurge. Get the special sauce for dipping the fries. Creamy horseradish zest. Yum. No creampuff this time as there is birthday chocolate for dessert waiting for me at home.

Perfect spot off the side of the road on the way up to North Port.
Possibly the best chicken ever, breading was crispy and flavorful with no greasy taste.
Vibes are amazing and make you feel safe and comfortable.
Everything we had was absolutely delicious and made us want to hug the chef

This place is a “take you back in time kinda place”
You walk in and put your name down, grab a beeper and wait to be called. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes to be seated but it’s totally worth it. We grabbed a drink from the bar and sat outside till we were seated. We had the pleasure of being served by the beautiful Brittany (loved her )
It’s an old house turned into a restaurant and the vibe across the board was they all knew each other and you for years. As for food…. Holy moly the BEST fried chicken I’ve ever had. You got 4 pieces and the very last piece was still piping hot when I ate it. Sooooo good!!!! Don’t sleep on this place ppl
