I have been coming here for years and I genuinely love the food and highly recommend it to anyone looking for Chinese food in Portage!
Portions are generous as a combo plate + side of lo mein typically gives me two meals. Prices are super affordable too! Love the lunch specials, combo plates & egg rolls!
I had mono last month and First Wok was the first meal I ate after a month of drinking only water + chicken broth (picture below is roughly 35-40% of what they give you I had a whole other meal for the next day). I love this place so much.

They’re normally good. I always get sweet and sour chicken with combination rice or orange chicken. Today I got their sesame rice and the food wasn’t fresh at all. Every bite tasted like it was reheated and the meat was dry. Great taste tho

Everything arrived quickly and I was surprised how nicely everything was packaged. As soon as I opened the containers I knew the food was going to be amazing. I’m not exaggerating when I say every bite I took I said “wow”. The sweet and sour chicken was cooked perfectly. Not over done, and the sour was thick and flavorful. The hot and sour soup OMG. BEST. SOUP. EVER. The rice was sooo amazing, and to me tasted like Wu House rice. My boyfriend was in a motorcycle accident the day before, and I woke him up to feed him. For a few minutes we forgot all about the extremely scary and stressful 24 hours we just experienced and that’s something I will never forget. He literally said “wow” every bite I fed him, and I told him “That’s what I said!” We haven’t stopped talking (or thinking) about how amazing the food was. We can’t believe we’ve never tried this place before. Hands down, BEST Chinese food we’ve ever had. I want to try everything on the menu because I know it’ll be delish, which is a nice switch up from just ordering from our go-to place and getting what we “know” is good. It’s not very often where the food is THAT surprisingly good that you just can’t stop talking about it. This place deserves waaay more recognition. You guys have new regulars! 🙂

Very disappointing for what was paid. DO NOT GET THE CRAB RAGOON. There is absolutely no filling its all just crusted dough.pot stickers were just a mushy mess I will give credit when due though the beef fried rice with extra beef was good. Beef was perfect.

I had a taste for Asian food, thought I’d give this place a try. I ordered pepper beef. It had a different taste, but I enjoyed it nevertheless. I did observe a few people coming in to pick up their orders. You can dine in, but there’s no table service. They have parking. I’m not sure about restroom access. I plan to order again from here.

This place has always been consistent with anything I get. They time and time again make delicious food in a timely matter!

Had a door dash order. House egg foo young was really overcooked and charred. I specifically asked for egg foo young to not be overcooked or charred. Soup was OK but I specifically said no green onions sprinkled on top and there was quite a few. Kitchen doesn’t seem to care about customers requests. Door dash did a very good job. PLEASE IMPROVE FOLLOWING CUSTOMERS REQUESTS. IF NO IMPROVEMENT THEN WILL NOT KEEP ORDERING

I did a delivery order the day before yesterday. Everything was okay. With the exception of the chicken and broccoli, which was horrible. I don’t know what type of meat that was, but it wasn’t chicken. Tasted like some form of artificial chicken out of a can and the broccoli was over cooked. Just horrible. I can’t make this up.
