Our fabulous waiter, Todd was so kind, patient, friendly, & helpful with our meal choices & we’re so happy with the meals we picked!!!
We had the Tri-Fecta (with my options being 2 eggs over medium with whole grain pancakes & 3or4 big pieces of exquisite smoked bacon) from the main menu & the Double Bacon Parmesan Hash topped with greens from the Seasonal Menu. As you can see in the pictures, both have beautiful presentation & oh, the tastes were simply magnificent !!!
The location is a pretty easy off & on for northbound I-45 travelers & not complicated at all for those traveling south, in the Willis H.E.B. parking lot for you 2 stop shoppers & locals.
This is an Amazing dining experience that we highly recommend!!!
Cheese Broccoli Soup, and Emma are back! I’ve been waiting and waiting for the Cheese Broccoli Soup to make it’s come-back. A couple of weeks ago I spoke with the Manager, Ashley, and inquired about the Broccoli Soup, to which she replied that she would make sure to have it available on Saturday, after Thanksgiving, and invited me to return, to which I promised I would, and I did! You know, it’s the little things in life that can bring much joy, and this little cup of warming soup on a drizzly day, did just that for me, and I even ordered another cup of soup after my first, it was so good. The Fresh Market Veggie Sandwich is a triumph as well. I love the blend of pesto and mayo. It makes the spinach, zucchini, mushrooms, and melted mozzarella sing. And Emma is back! She is among our favorites to get to see when we visit. We were greeted by many smiling faces upon our visit this Saturday. We enjoy seeing our First Watch friends on every visit. We got a chance to say hello to Tiffany who is always so friendly to us, and Nikolai, who is also a joy. From first entrance greeting, to fun hello’s and how are you’s, to the final thank you at the counter, we are always so happy to visit. If you’re out and about during the holiday season, First Watch in Willis is a must-stop, to bring much holiday joy and warm, delicious, healthy food options. (11-29-2025)
The Fall menu is here!! We have been very excited to stop in and try the new items. We shared the Spiced Pumpkin Donut Holes – O_M_G!!! SOOOOO good!! The salted caramel dipping sauce – yum! And I really loved the new Blazing Dragon Juice. Very delicious with Strawberry, Lemon, and Dragon Fruit. My Frittata Rustic was perfection today – Chef’s Kiss – and shout-out to the chef. Definitely one of my all time faves, filled with kale, mushrooms, tomatoes, sauteed onions, and topped with mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Served piping hot. We were also very happy to see all the friendly faces of our friends who work here. They always make us feel very welcomed. Our server today was Keaton. He is always so friendly, and takes good care of us. We did get to see Emma. She was working in the kitchen today but came out to see us and brought us our appetizer. She always greets us with the biggest smile. We also got to say hello to Tiffany and Nate. Today was the manager’s birthday and everyone was wearing cute kitty cat headbands. So fun. It’s always like visiting family here.
We had to stop in at First Watch today and get fueled up for antiquing! I always feel good about eating here with their healthier choices. Healthier, and in my opinion, more delicious, options! Today I opted for the Morning Market Veg Omelet. This is the perfect meal to give me energy all afternoon, as it did. It comes with whole grain toast and a baby leaf salad. I got a Kale Tonic to go, and I enjoyed it throughout the day. It’s very refreshing (and I prefer to sip on this delicious juice rather than a soda to keep my energy up while shopping, for sure).
Our server today was Gracie. She was so friendly and helpful. Tiffany came by to say hello and chatted with us for a few minutes. Everyone here is so delightful. We always try to visit at least once a week. Huge thumbs up everyone! (06-27-25)
The Double Bacon Parmesan Hash was delicious—perfectly seasoned, hearty, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Trifecta, and everything came out hot, fresh, and cooked just right.
Mak checked on us often without ever being intrusive, and she made sure we had everything we needed. Her service truly elevated the whole visit.
Highly recommend stopping by and asking for Mak—you won’t be disappointed!
8/27/25 – I’ve been in several times the past few weeks for some semi-healthy breakfasts. The Avocado toast today has been extremely tasty for as simple as it is, and I might venture to say that it’s the whole grain toast & the 1″ + piled Avocado, creating the perfect bites. I tried a poached-fried egg, semi-expecting a bit of a runny yolk, and they came out almost hard boiled, but it was simply a “try it” kind of thing. Could be awesome if done in a beef stock or something to give it a bit of Fall feel, but that’s just my idea. Phenomenal. Danette, who was on the bar this morning was absolutely amazing, taking care of multiple customers, running
7/6/25 – it’s SunYay! I got out this morning & did my yard work duties & after my shower, I decided to come over here again for a brunch. No joke, this place was solid, in terms of food & service, when they first opened, but today, it’s one of the best, IMO anyway. The Shrimp and grits were phenomenal, last time I was in and I’m picky about both of those. This morning, it’s Strawberry Tres Leche French Toast & a mimosa. JT – my bartender is knocking it out of the park. Its business, obviously, but they seem to have fun with it, too.
There were a few, typical, issues for a new place. The waitstaff had one thing at our table (I forget what) that they all had to ask – 9 different in 15 minutes. Can’t remember what that was, though. The food was great, aside some slight missed instructions with the order- again, first week issues, I’m sure. There was also a crazy 2+ week delay in a charge from their soft open, but we were in the following week & that charge went well. I do, like this restaurant, I just wish it were a bigger location; they’re packed often.
Our server, Keith, did an excellent job of checking in on us, setting us up with a pot of fresh and great tasting coffee. The manager, Keith, stopped by, too, for a pleasant chat, making sure we were all set, and presenting us with a nice travel mug.
Overall, this was an excellent choice!
The food as usual was delicious. The spicy egg and bacon sandwich was actually spicy and yummy
