First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. When we travel we often search out First Watch for breakfast. We have found that across the chain they are consistent in their menu, preparation, quality and attention to allergies. I cannot remember a time that we have had a sub par meal at any of the First Watch restaurants we have been to.
Today we visited the First Watch in Lawerence KS. Now the parking is a bit tight but that is not a FW issue just one to know before you go, and I highly recommend going! They just had a major update to their menu and man alive what an upgrade this is!!! I normally stay in my lane and always order the avocado toast with the million dollar bacon. After sitting down and looking at the new menu I was paralyzed to make a choice. My go to meal was overshadowed by so many amazing items. Lemon blueberry cornbread, steak chimichuri skillet and so many more other items that we will have to go back soon to partake in other new items. The Lawerence location was such a friendly and comforting location it made for a genuinely wonderful start to the day.
If you have never been to a FW for breakfast I dare you to try it and not want to go back the next day. If you crave bacon DO NOT order the million dollar bacon. All other bacon will pale in comparison. Great job today Lawerence KS FW. Thanks for a great meal.

I dine here solo from time to time. When the dining room is packed, there is a community table, specifically for people like me, that usually has no wait!
The BLT Benedict is my go-to! I love the Kale tonic but branched out and tried the Pineapple Express juice today and it was amazing!

Our waitress was sweet, welcoming, attentive and efficient without being overbearing or too chatty. We both had the Traditional with bacon and it was cooked perfectly. The cook achieved the perfect balance of crisp vs moist bacon and my over medium eggs were slightly warm in the middle, just as desired. The scrambled eggs were cooked perfectly and the non-egg-lover ate them up with a healthy side of ketchup. We topped off our tummies with a half side of biscuit and turkey gravy. I have more of a sausage gravy preference but this was very flavorful and my cardiologist would approve. Coffee was hot, the water was wet and my dining partner’s hot chocolate definitely hit the spot. A very relaxing, clean and comfortable restaurant that does breakfast right!

I’ll sum it up like this. When I get home from my nightshift and order from this place on doordash, every single time without fail I get an absolutely delicious meal, served well plated even in the to go container.
I’ve ordered quite a few fruit cups over the months. A common breakfast side, available on menus everywhere.
But from here? there has never, ever, been a single piece of fruit that was even a little flawed in those cups. Not a single soft grape, not a single rancid berry. Ever.
That’s attention to detail, that’s love right there. A team of people still yawning from waking up early to come to work, picking out the bad grapes, caring about the little stuff that they don’t have to, stuff they could get away without doing and still be successful. But they choose to make every single meal excellent. Thank you.

I’ve been frequenting this FW location for years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are attentive and friendly. The location has a great low key brunch feel to it and the food is always good. The lemon curd ricotta pancakes and the parma hash are two standouts and they always have something interesting on the rotating special menu. Breakfast and coffee will usually run around 20 bucks. I do miss the old biscuits and gravy they used to do, but that comes down to my preference for pork over turkey sausage in my b&g. Also there can be a bit of a wait for a table on the weekends.

It was great me , my husband and our two daughters came in today for my birthday. The service was wonderful the food was fresh and DELICIOUS I had the Eggs Benedict BLT with a side of potatoes and it was so good I was damn near licking the plate. My husband had the smoked salmon frittata and Blueberry Pancakes and that was very good as well not better than mines. Only thing I would say is we wish we would’ve gotten a both for a little more room to enjoy everything other than that it was a wonderful experience. I want to go back with friends and brunch with mimosas the drink menu had amazing drinks on there.
