These farm to table type breakfast places have always bothered me a bit. They’re great if you want something lighter for breakfast—but let’s be real here, sometimes you just want something smothered in sausage gravy. These places never seem to offer a good version of both things, so you end up needing to decide what you want to eat before you choose where to go. When I first tried First Watch, their menu was limited and I felt like my choices were either quinoa bowl, or an egg served with an arugula salad. Not exactly my style of breakfast. But I have kept coming back because each time it seems like the menu gets expanded and seasonal items are added, and I really appreciate that. Sometimes I’m in the mood for a veggie omelet, sometimes I want bacon and cheese. I’m glad there seem to be more options that play both sides of that now. The quality of the food has always been excellent, so with more options comes more interest from me. I’ll keep coming back for now to continue to check out their new offerings, but still no breakfast arugula for me.

My wife and I were in Indy for a 24-hour getaway for Labor Day and looking for a good place to enjoy breakfast. We chose to check out this First Watch because they have a location in Florida that we like to visit when we are there.

We were a little surprised by how packed they were, not only inside in the dining room, but even with people waiting on the sidewalk outside. We have never seen that before at any other First Watch. We put our names on the waiting list. We were told that the wait was 30 minutes, and that they would text us when our table was coming available, so we did a little shopping a couple of stores down until it was about time.

After close to 30 minutes we were seated and warmly greeted by our server, Max, who got our drinks to us right away, and then quickly got our order in.

My wife and I were both impressed by the staff moving quickly about the room, taking great care of all of their customers.

We ordered the pumpkin pancake breakfast with chicken apple sausage and an egg, avocado toast with two eggs and a side of bacon, and coffee to drink.

Our food didn’t take too long to get to our table, and everything was cooked exactly the way we asked. The flavors were great and the portion sizes were good.

Even though every table was full and the place with bustling with people, our server did such a wonderful job.

When we finished our meal we got an order of pumpkin spice donuts to go. They were delicious too!

While we did have a bit of a wait, and it was a little on the expensive side, we were so impressed with everything about our visit. I’d give this First Watch an extra star if I could for exceeding our expectations! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ + ⭐️

Excellent food. All the choices looked delicious, it was hard to choose. Glad we stopped in on our way back home to Illinois. I would definitely recommend coming to this restaurant.

First impression is when I first walked in. I was Met right away and was taken to a table.
So it came right away to take my order as if I need anything right away and brought me a water in coffee with no way at all.
Wasn’t ready to order it right away, but after he brought my coffee, I reviewed the menu and got me the breakfast omelette the works
In the loaded potatoes with bacon Parmesan cheese, both were amazing and very filling for that hungry person.
Oh, of course, don’t worry about it taking so long after I ordered I have been served within five minutes and it was great
I will say it would be worth your while to come here and try it out won’t be disappointed.

Wife and I went for a breakfast date. Food was amazing and the coffee was delicious. I had the Skillet Hash Parma and she had the Eggs Benedict. Was able to sit out on the patio. Server was friendly and very attentive. Would definitely eat here again.

We’ve been visiting breakfast restaurants since moving to Carmel, IN in May. By far the best so far is First Watch, great food , good atmosphere, good service & somewhat reasonably priced compared to the others; $40.00 with tip for two. I had “the traditional “ with meat & my wife had the oatmeal with fruit & fried muffin. My expectations were low for a restaurant in a strip center, but this place is extremely large & well designed.

First Watch was excellent today. I could only finish half of the biggest pancake I’ve ever seen, and the Million Dollar Bacon was on another level. If you think you know good bacon, try this.
We had a great time—Anna was our server and she was outstanding: attentive, personable, and genuinely welcoming. Enjoy your trip to Scotland!

I was too hungry to get a picture of the food!!! Sorry! But take my word for it, this food was delicious. I had the meat omelet and loaded potatoes. My fiancee had chickichangas and my fork kept sliding his way!!! Service was great and customer focused. Staff was in clean and presentable uniform. I would frequent here if I was a resident. And will definitely be back!
