The safe bet for breakfast when traveling. A notch above the other chains. Great service and great food with quality ingredients. We also like the healthy options. I tried the power wrap with egg whites and turkey, which was very good. There is call-ahead seating.

What an amazing restaurant and staff! My husband and I both had a wonderful experience at First Watch during late breakfast. We had a dish that had to be remade for a mistake that happened from us and the manager on duty, Mr Todd, went above and beyond to service us at his best. Our server, Ms Kennedy, was professional, sweet and very attentive to her guests. I would come back here a thousand times, again and again! Thank You so much for that wonderful hospitality you showered on our eating experience. Thank You Todd and Kennedy!

It is so hard to give this breakfast cafe a fair review. It is clearly excellent, the food is fresh and very much on the healthier side of breakfast. The atmosphere is perfect with many large tables for big parties and outdoor spaces.
The issues I have are based upon my very specific pet peeves. I judge club sandwiches, biscuits and gravy, and green beans much harsher than any other food product. The club here just misses it, and I would advise to steer clear unless you are a fan of the uninteresting no flavor version of the sandwich. More of a toast and a tangy sauce would make this sandwich really good. The biscuits and gravy as good, just not my favorite. The biscuit is huge and the gravy is flavorful, but has some weird spices come through because of the Turkey gravy. Good just different in a way that it is kind of a different dish. Lastly the service on the front end is great. Our main line server was very good, where these places break down is in the busing of the tables too many times during a meal the empty plates end up piling up making their job harder, but also our experience a little more cluttered.

I travel a lot so when I see a First Watch in the area I usually pick here first first breakfast. This was one of those times. I ordered online but I am usually leery because of my gluten allergy anywhere. Not the case here the easy of the app and having dedicated food like the power breakfast bowl with adding notes I can rest assured I’m not going to have an reaction.
This order was no problem and I loved the portions they were large. I think I got more than I do when I eat at the restaurants. Score for me!
Do I recommend this restaurant and location absolutely!

Updated 3.9.2024: Tried this location again today and agree with my previous post. Ordered the Brooklyn Breakfast Sandwich. The egg was supposed to be served over-easy and it was not. (see picture) A breakfast place that cannot cook an egg correctly is an issue.
Previous Review: I have only been to this restaurant a few times. The food is good and I have never had bad service. However, in comparison to my favorite go to breakfast location I don’t like the flavors quite as much here. That is my personal preference though. Would recommend that you give it a try.

My husband had been raving to me about First Watch in Asheville. This location was my first experience. It was a Sunday morning @ 10 am & the restaurant was EXTREMELY crowded! We were fortunate as a party of two and were seated quickly. We ordered, and breakfast arrived within 15 minutes which I felt was great. I had the Traditional Breakfast and was pleased that gluten free toast was available. The food was high quality and very good. Our server was great as well. The only complaint I have about this establishment is that the tables are jammed so close together. Where we were sitting, you could actually disturb and bump into people at the next table. You had to strategically sit. I left my seat to use the restroom and when I got back, a different party had been seated next to us. It was impossible for me to get back to my seat he was so close to my chair. I had to reach over the table to collect my belongings. It was very uncomfortable sitting this closely to other patrons throughout the meal.
I will probably not be back to this location, as we were traveling, but I will try other locations, and hope the seating is much better.
