First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. Very good food. I love the healthy options if you are looking for more heart healthy food. My family loves the food here. We like to go early if you want less of a crowd since it can get very busy. We took pictures of the eaten food instead of food that was not eaten.

We had a nice brunch at this restaurant. Good food quality. The salmon egg Benedict’s were good. But our favorite had been the M$ potato’s and the ELEVATED EGG SANDWICH. The house made juices are so good and fresh. The serves was friendly but very busy. All in all a good brunch spot.

Great atmosphere. Great menu. Our brunch cocktails were presented beautifully. The bacon starter was fantastic. My wife had breakfast tacos which were yummy. My only critique is that the eggs on my Eggs Benedict were way overcooked. Nearly hard-boiled. Solid yolks and firm white.

The food here is great! I enjoyed having the biscuits & gravy, eggs, and potatoes with a side of million dollar bacon & cheese grits. My son had the blueberry pancakes with eggs & bacon. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. I will def go back.

On the decline. They seemed short staffed today. I walked in and like 10 people were waiting to be seated. The woman at the front said they didn’t have a host and she was waitressing and doing other stuff as well.
I ordered a market hash (w/o mushrooms and add avocado) & a Kale Tonic totally just over $32.
Needles to say my order was wrong. The hash had tons of mushrooms and like 7 leaves of spinach. Honestly it looks like they just scraped someone’s leftover off the table and boxed it. Don’t know that I’ll be back to visit this location. The best thing was the Kale Tonic.

The food was very delicious! I was worried about the shallots in the Smoked Salmon Frittata but they were cooked very well. Just delectable! My husband’s dish was called the works and it had great flavors, and delicious. I would highly recommend going to First Watch

I was greated with a warm welcome from the server Claudia. She promptly showed us to our seats and had fresh hot coffee ready to pour. They have nice size portions at a great price. The food was really good also!

This place is really good. Quantity affordable food. A full plate is around $12-15. Coffee is almost $4 a cup and it tastes slightly burned, although they provide you with a variety of creamers and sweeteners. We got two omelettes – the salmon veggie one and the chorizo one with avocado. Everything was fresh and delicious. The omelettes came with seasoned potatoes. Mine also came with buttered toast and jam. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant had a homey country atmosphere.

Didn’t live up to the hype. Not even close, in fact.
I’ve wanted to try First Watch for a few years but never had an opportunity when I was near one of their restaurants. Today I happened to be in the Hoover, Alabama area and finally had time to try First Watch with a party of four.
Our wait for a table was a reasonable five minutes, but then we were there for just under 60 minutes before our food finally arrived, and when it did it tasted and felt like it had been sitting on a table somewhere (not even under a heat lamp) for a half hour or so. My omelete was as tough as shoe leather and it was room temperature or lower. My potatoes were undercooked to the point of being crunchy, and my sausages were cool to the touch. Our server kindly offered to remove the charge for that meal, but I asked her instead to bring me a fresh version and charge me for it. The second one was much better because it was actually served fresh and hot, although the potatoes were still the same undercooked ones from the previous batch.
The others in my party had similar experiences with pancakes that were not warm enough to melt butter, undercooked bacon (despite requesting EXTRA CRISP twice), and other examples of incompetence in the kitchen.
That said, our server was kind and the coffee was tasty.
I cannot in good conscience recommend First Watch and I’m not in any hurry to go again. I was very disappointed because it just didn’t even come close to the target.
