First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. Whether you start at the crack of dawn or not, we’ll leave that up to you!

Came here with my mom a few weeks ago.. The utensils we got were not properly cleaned, my mom’s fork literally had food on it! We had to ask for new utensils. My mom enjoyed her food but my waffle had a strange chemical taste. A few hours after we left, both my mom and I had really bad stomach pain. Sanitation in this place is questionable.

2/1/2026 I was really disappointed with my experience at First Watch. I ordered cheese grits and unfortunately found a piece of hair in my food. This is a serious hygiene issue and completely unacceptable. Cleanliness should be a top priority, and this ruined my appetite and experience. I expected much better.

To start off, we’ve dined at this Tallahassee location at least 4 times prior when it’s very busy on a weekend morning with excellent experiences. Today it was midday on a Monday and not busy AT ALL. Our waiter came to our table and greeted us saying could we give him a couple of minutes to take our drink orders. So I went to the ladies room. We ended up moving tables to the one right next to us because the one we were at was unlevel and my coffee kept spilling every time we would touch the table. The restroom needed attention in a serious way and I won’t get into details on this part but I was shocked at the condition it was in. When I returned our waiter still hadn’t come.
We ordered immediately when he did finally come I’d say 8 minutes later at least. I ordered an omelet and greens, the toast was forgotten from my plate which I had to request, and my husbands meal arrived 6-7 minutes before mine did with no explanation from the waiter. We had to ask if it was coming soon. I also had to ask for more coffee when I ran out. The million dolllar bacon seemed somewhat undercooked but everything else was just as expected; really tasty. Our waiter accommodated an unexpected guest that joined us without too much trouble.
The icing on the cake was when our waiter started sweeping under the tables right next to us and said “is it ok if I do this right now?” Of course I wasn’t going to be rude and say no. I think he was being rude to even attempt doing that especially with the lack luster service we experienced this visit. Sorry we do love first watch but today was not your best!

There can be quite a wait for a table here during the Fall (football season). But I’ve been enjoying visiting during the summer while it’s still lively but not a long wait to be seated. I’ve had the pancakes before and the power wrap this time. A friend had a breakfast burger and a side of oatmeal for the kiddo. Food has been good each time. I’m looking forward to trying more meal options.

Had a very tasty brunch here with my young adult, daughters. All of the drinks were delicious (Pineapple Express and Morning Meditation), but our favorite was the Purple Haze.
Food was hot and well seasoned. Portion sizes were healthy, which means it was enough but not so much we felt stuffed after. Some of us likes that. Others wanted to be stuffed. You make what you will of that.
Service was great. No long wait to be seated or served and its a nice esthetic also.

I’m gluten and dairy free and this is one of the best places to get breakfast in Tallahassee right now. I highly recommend it. Dined in with a friend today and the atmosphere was great, not too loud and definitely spacious.
Also our server, Trenton, had the best customer service, he was super friendly and attentive and made sure to not only take note of my food allergies but also to follow up with me about them after having put the order in and once the food was out. Great experience and definitely will be back.
