The Harrisonburg location delivers on food quality and atmosphere, with well-prepared dishes, a clean dining area, and a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or brunch.
The only downside was that service felt slower than usual. The staff were kind and attentive once they reached the table, but there was a noticeable delay early on.
With a little improvement in timing, this spot could easily stand out as one of the best breakfast options in the area.
First Watch in Harrisonburg is a brunch paradise! From the moment we sat down, it was clear we were in for a treat. The avocado toast was incredibly flavorful, and the baconado omelette was simply divine – a perfect combination of savory goodness.
The cinnamon rum coffee drink was a delightful indulgence, and the mimosas were the perfect complement to our meals. Everyone in our group raved about their food, a testament to the quality and care that goes into each dish.
Our only suggestion for improvement would be to update the changing table in the ladies’ room; it was a bit challenging to use. Also, be prepared for a wait, especially for Sunday brunch – we waited over 45 minutes for a table. It might be worth looking into reservations if they’re available.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the exceptional food and drinks made our experience truly memorable. We can’t wait to return!
On the morning of 2/13, my husband and I went for a small pre-Valentine’s date. Our server was very sweet and friendly. There was also a man who seemed to be the manager -he was outside when we arrived and kindly opened the door for us,which felt very welcoming The young man who was cleaning the tables also seemed to be doing his job sincerely, and that was really nice to see As for the food,it wasn’t anything very special, but it wasn’t bad either. Iwould rate it 7/10
The only negative thing was that the forks and knives were wrapped in napkins, but they didn’t seem to be fully cleaned. That was the only disappointing part
Overall,it was a nice day,and I would definitely come back again. Also, the Iced Mint Mocha tasted just like a non-alcoholic Baileys, which I really enjoyed
