First Watch is an award-winning breakfast, brunch and lunch spot, serving a chef-driven menu of elevated classics and seasonal specialties, always made to order using the freshest ingredients. We greet the sunrise by slicing and juicing fresh fruits and vegetables, whipping French toast batter from scratch and brewing pots of our single-origin Project Sunrise coffee. Freshness is never comprised, which is why we welcome each season into our menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun. All year long, you can enjoy craveable favorites like Avocado Toast for breakfast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict for brunch and Lemon Ricotta Pancakes for lunch. Whether you start at the crack of dawn or not, we’ll leave that up to you!

If you’ve been to a First Watch before, you know what to expect good coffee, delicious food, and friendly service.
The Harrisonburg location delivers on food quality and atmosphere, with well-prepared dishes, a clean dining area, and a comfortable place to enjoy breakfast or brunch.
The only downside was that service felt slower than usual. The staff were kind and attentive once they reached the table, but there was a noticeable delay early on.
With a little improvement in timing, this spot could easily stand out as one of the best breakfast options in the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. Food was hot and plentiful. My omelette was huge and stuffed with bacon, cheese and avocado. So good. The French toast was rich and a generous portion. If you leave here hungry it’s your own fault. Can’t wait to go back.

The cinnamon rum coffee drink was a delightful indulgence, and the mimosas were the perfect complement to our meals. Everyone in our group raved about their food, a testament to the quality and care that goes into each dish.
Our only suggestion for improvement would be to update the changing table in the ladies’ room; it was a bit challenging to use. Also, be prepared for a wait, especially for Sunday brunch – we waited over 45 minutes for a table. It might be worth looking into reservations if they’re available.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the exceptional food and drinks made our experience truly memorable. We can’t wait to return!

The breakfast tacos on the holiday menu are amazing- they come with a side of black beans and I also added their side spring mix salad! The quality was superb and the restaurant had a very upscale feel to it with comfortable prices and an amazing menu. Waitress was attentive and polite- highly recommend this spot!

I visited this place the day before Valentine’s Day.I am not a resident of Harrisonburg, but I occasionally come to visit my family.This time,we went to First Watch here in Harrisonburg.
On the morning of 2/13, my husband and I went for a small pre-Valentine’s date.Our server was very sweet and friendly.There was also a man who seemed to be the manager -he was outside when we arrived and kindly opened the door for us,which felt very welcoming The young man who was cleaning the tables also seemed to be doing his job sincerely,and that was really nice to see As for the food,it wasn’t anything very special,but it wasn’t bad either. Iwould rate it 7/10
The only negative thing was that the forks and knives were wrapped in napkins,but they didn’t seem to be fully cleaned.That was the only disappointing part
Overall,it was a nice day,and I would definitely come back again. Also,the Iced Mint Mocha tasted just like a non-alcoholic Baileys,which I really enjoyed

The experience is a whole vibe! Loved the esthetic, the colors, the music, very welcoming, no fuss approach. I orded the trifecta meal substituted pancakes for French toast.The French toast was cooked to perfection, light, fluffy, I had 5 strips of fully cooked bacon and fluffy scrambled eggs. The coffee was great! I cannot recommend this place enough. Wonderful experience.

Chelsey rocks!!! I made a few special requests and she got everything right the first time. Very good service. The food was also good. The lemon ricotta pancake here is better than other locations. Nice crispy outside. Biscuit wasn’t toasted like other locations and so prefer it this way because it soaks up the gravy better. Great job with food and service.
