We had a wonderful experience at the First Watch Gaithersburg location! Despite it being a very busy day right after Christmas, both the food and service were absolutely on point. We tried the Honey Caramel Crunch and Tangerine Dream drinks—both refreshing and delicious. Our food order included the Belgian Waffle, Breakfast Tacos (minus the eggs), Market Veggie, and the Million Dollar Potatoes, and everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared.

The staff handled the crowd efficiently and remained friendly and attentive throughout, which really stood out. Overall, a fantastic brunch experience. The only suggestion would be to see a few more vegan options added to the menu in the future. Looking forward to coming back again soon!

We’ve loved eating at first watch. This one in Gaithersburg is equally good. Expect a slightly lower quality in food and service on Saturdays breakfast, brunch, lunch times! I love love love their skillet hash but over the weekends I only usually get potato and eggs. Kids live the pancakes and waffles here. Overall it’s good food for your buck, but if avoid Saturdays

This was the first time visiting a First watch location. I had heard a lot of good things so we decided to try it out. I do have to say the food did not disappoint. Fresh, fast service! We did have to wait a bit for someone to come to take drink and food order but they were so busy. Once our server (JOSSY) came she gave outstanding service! I’d definitely come back.

The restaurant was accommodating for our really large party of 15 people. The server was attentive to the best of her ability during the busy hours of a Saturday Brunch.

The food was good. Not mind blowing for its cost, but manageable for a sit down place. Some in our party had slightly lower satisfaction with their food, but I think we were generally happy with the experience. Not a bad place to go to for brunch.

First Watch in Gaithersburg is hands-down one of the best breakfast spots around town. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is bright, welcoming, and relaxed—perfect for starting your day off right. The staff is consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about giving you a great experience.

The food is always fresh and thoughtfully prepared. Whether you’re in the mood for classic breakfast favorites or something a little healthier, everything is flavorful and beautifully presented. The portions are generous without being heavy, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Their coffee is solid, and the menu items are always a nice bonus.

Service is efficient without ever feeling rushed, even when they’re busy. This location is clean, well-run, and reliable every single visit. If you’re looking for a go-to breakfast or brunch spot in Gaithersburg, First Watch is an easy five stars. Highly recommend! ☕️

Maaan that turkey gravy on biscuit with egg was awesome! Had to wait a while for a table but it was worth it. Glad I didn’t give up the wait. My friends got the chicken quinoa bowl and another friend got the lavender French toast..we were FULL and happy.

Went for breakfast at 930 am on a Saturday so the kitchen was quite busy. Waited 30 minutes for a table. Kitchen was struggling to keep up with the orders.Started with million dollar bacon which was sweet and slightly spicy – very good. I had the traditional breakfast which was two eggs, toast, potatoes, and sausage. Very large portion. My potatoes were cold and parcooked and the gluten free toast I ordered was just a plain untoasted piece of bread placed on top of my food. It made me laugh. It took 3 people and 25 minutes to get a toasted piece of bread. Son had oatmeal with fruit and husband had eggs Benedict with a side salad. Both were fine. Average food. Our waitress was super nice and even gave us a gift card for waiting so long for actual toast. I’d go back when it isn’t busy.

I’ve been coming to First Watch for many years and I always come back because the food is honestly some of the best breakfast you can get when dining out.

My only issue, and unfortunately it’s been consistent, is the service. Every time I visit, the service falls well short of expectations. I spent years working in the restaurant industry as a server, bartender, and manager, so I know how much difference good service can make. I’ve always believed that you should give your best to every table because you never know who you’re serving, and great service is just as important as great food in creating a positive dining experience.

I’m not writing this review just to complain. I’ll continue coming back because I truly love the food. I just hope they focus more on improving the overall customer experience to match the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen.
