We went to connecticut zoo today. And when returning back home . Just googled and stopped by to have dinner. (Well. To be honest , my husband was attracted by the outdoor table, and when we arrived, we found there is no so called table )BUT , To our surprise. The owners are SUPER FRIENDLY, smilingly, they can even cook the food accordingly to the taste we like . The portion is HUGE . The spring roll is Hugest ever I’ve seen , To be honest , we’ve been to several take out restaurants every time when we go visiting all kinds of museums parks and zoos , they’ve been the most impressive one !

Super amazing service. i had ordered the boneless spare ribs with the fried rice. The spare rib meat was in very large pieces with very little to no fat. Super good and tender. Someone shared with me the chicken wings they ordered here as well and i wish id ordered them instead. The wings are very small but where they lack in size they make up for in amazing flavor! I can tell this restaurant cares about their food and knows what they are doing!

One of the worst Chinese food experiences we have had in CT. Ordered General Tso chicken for my college aged son who took a couple of bites and pushed it away saying “nope”. So I tried it and tasted like sugar and fried cornstarch with a way too sweet sauce. No vegetables came with it… just globs of this gooey stuff and hardly any chicken inside the globs. I mean, this is a basic and common American Chinese dish not known being super healthy but eating this is guaranteed to take days off your life. There are other Chinese establishments nearby that serve same dish and you can taste the chicken, less sugary and comes with broccoli. This was a one star experience.

This place is absolutely lovely. Their food is fantastic, and it is owned by such wonderful people. You can feel good going here, supporting a small business & getting awesome food. Try their dumplings!!

Exactly the same delicious Chinese food you’ve come to expect. They don’t always understand so it’s best to go by their menu numbers. But the food is great, fast, reasonable and a true guilty pleasure.

Awful . Cold wonton soup he literally made while I waited. Awful pork lo mein tasted like cabbage. Pork fried rice full of bean sprouts for some reason zero flavor. Greasy egg rolls because the oil is to cold. Has been going down hill for the past few years. I’m done never again.

Asian cuisine as you would expect it, crunchy, crispy gently fried and delicious! The egg rolls are wonderful and the meals are inexpensive. I’ve had First Garden’s food before and I’ll return in the future.

Have been ordering from here since they opened. But, things haxe changed since John the owner left. You cannot chane anything on the dishes and cannot “special order” anything. It also tastes like too much MSG, everything too salty. I recommend asking for no MSG when ordering, otherwise food is good, and people are friendly.
