I’ve lived in safety harbor for years and never tried this place. Decided to stop in for lunch after reading glowing reviews on their cuban and they aren’t joking! Best Cuban I’ve ever had. Everything was made fresh to order, including the french fries. The large is big enough for 2 meals. Staff was very friendly as well. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

You won’t regret going to first choice deli it is beyond delicious in every way try their authentic Cuban with a side of fries any day of the week a large Cuban is $11 and change it fills you up and I tell you it is the best authentic Cuban. You can find anywhere in the area. You can’t beat them. They are the best!!

Felt the need to leave a review after many years: I live 1,000 miles away; I used to vacation here a lot as a child and we ate so many Cubans and Spinach Pies from this place.
I am willing to drive the 1,000 miles just for your Cubans and Spinach Pies!! Family was just down there for a trip and brought back a boatload of Spinach Pies and Baklava, oh how happy I am!! There is nowhere else that makes it as good as you do. Wish there was a shipment option (haha!) Safety Harbor is so lucky to have you and I hope you stick around for years to come!!

Someone said it was the best Cuban in the Tampa Bay Area and I have to agree! I was here yesterday with my twins and the owners were very sweet and accommodating. Only took 10 mins to make 2 large Cubans and I ordered chicken tenders with fries for the kids and oh my gosh!! We had been walking all day at different trails and parks nearby and we were at our last park Mullet Creek Park and it was only a 4 min walk from there to here and it was sooo worth it, we were starving and dehydrated. The chicken was so fresh and tender, succulent and the fries were so seasoned and full of flavor. I don’t know what they put on the fries but my kids devoured the chicken and fries, I tried some too and— mind blown!! You get a large Cuban sandwich with a can of soda for only $6, which is a steal for how good it is! They also sell Baklava and I regret not getting it now because it looked delicious, next time forsure. Besides the deli, the mart itself has lots of options, got a fountain drink and maybe it was because I was so thirsty but it quenched my tastebuds to its core!! Lots of great snacks, even Japanese snacks. Such a great little spot, definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area at one of the parks nearby, just walking to it was fun too! They take EBT and you can order over the phone too if you want for the deli! Thank you again for the great service, you guys are awesome, we will be back!

Best Cubans in the bay area! I happened to be in the bay area today. I was wanting lunch. I remembered about 10 years back going here. I had stopped in to see if they were still there. Got a hot pressed Cuban! They’re so good!! The owners are friendly too!

Hot mess of BLT goop!!!! Only reason for two stars is that the meatball sub was decent and the fries though also mushy filled me up . But please stay away from the BLT until they stop pressing the sandwich . Never press a sandwich with lettuce and tomato with the lettuce and tomato inside (put in a few min after ) . Also no cheese in the sandwich so pressing kinda pointless I think .
