We highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely return.
We had a reservation at the Fireside Restaurant and I personally went to the front desk to change it to 7:00 PM. I was clearly told that the reservation had been updated.
When we arrived at 7:10 PM, we were told the reservation was cancelled. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, the staff repeatedly questioned me about who made the change and insisted it was “impossible,” implying that I was lying. The tone was dismissive and accusatory.
To make things worse, one of the staff members was making faces and talking about us as if we were not standing right there. It was extremely rude, unprofessional, and humiliating.
We felt insulted and completely disrespected. This was not the level of service we expected, especially at a family-oriented resort. A very disappointing experience.
Food was terrible the night before but limited options in this hotel
To make matters worse, both my daughter and I nearly slipped and fell — the floors were dangerously slick, as if they’d been coated in baby oil. I even have a video showing how slippery it was. The manager saw us slipping and said absolutely nothing.
Eventually, we requested to move tables. Then came the long wait — despite the place being almost empty, the food took forever to arrive. When it finally did, it was barely warm. My Chicken Alfredo was bland, and the chicken tasted like it came straight out of a pre-packaged frozen meal — absolutely nothing fresh about it. My father ended up with severe stomach issues after eating it — possibly from expired sauce or spoiled ingredients. Completely unacceptable.
I also ordered wings (which cost $20) and asked specifically for all flats since my 4-year-old daughter only eats flats. I was told it comes mixed (half and half), and I agreed — assuming we’d at least get 5 flats. The wings came out with only two flats, the rest were all overcooked drums. My daughter barely ate anything.
When I brought it up, the waitress said there was nothing she could do, that it’s “up to the kitchen.” Then why mislead me in the first place?
Overall, I paid $180 for a meal that gave my father food poisoning, my child nothing to eat, and nearly caused us both to fall on a dangerously slippery floor. Absolutely disgraceful. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will never be returning.
