Got right in it was not busy. We ordered two prime ribs however when the food came out, one was a steak and one was a prime rib so we had to wait for them to get the other prime rib well the other one finished more than half of the meal Never got service to ask me if I wanted a drink, never was checked up on until the very end had to wait so long for the food yet nothing was offered for compensation or apology made for that inconvenience. Absolutely not good service. The only thing that made up for it was the prime rib was delicious. The prime rib couldn’t have asked to be any better, so very happy with the meal itself, even though the serviceand attitude was not good. We didn’t have to wait to get a table, but we sure waited for food.

This was the absolute worst Prime Rib (or steak) that I have ever had the displeasure of tasting in my entire life. It tasted like a cheap combination of dry ham and beef jerky. The carrots were still living and breathing, they were not cooked. The potatoes were dryer than the Sahara. The espresso martinis tasted like sewage with chocolate sauce. My wife thinks the Prime Rib tasted like old leftover meat from the garbage. The service was meh, but the food was other worldly awful. Save your money for the slot machines, you’re better off even if you lose all your money.

Great ambience. Quick service. Quality drip coffee. Music in the air. I got a simple breakfast with side of biscuits and gravy. 6 dollars for a biscuit and a cup of gravy. Tasty but expensive.
That’s where the praise ends. I witnessed 3 people send their orders back for being too cold, undercooked etc. The food was sub par. I ate there twice but it was the only early morning option at Ameristar Black Hawk.
Staff were friendly, Joseph, and helpful. But other staff seemed to bemoan their jobs. Seemed a little under staffed.
There was a robot that was entertaining. It delivers food to tables with limited success. Minding that robot has to be a pain.
The Americano seemed to be Folgers instant. Same flavor. Nothing espresso about it.
Sadly, one of the only options. It suffices in the food desert. Room for improvement. Try it and see for yourself. You’ll be glad you did.

Place is cute and all, but service sucked, and food was not good for the most part. The menu says they can split the check 3 ways, but the waitress told us she couldn’t split our check after we had started ordering. There’s an automatic 20%, which would be fine by me if we had received good service, but not a single drink was refilled, not even water, and she couldn’t even bother mixing the strawb puree and the lemonade together. I’m a server myself, so I try to be understanding, but there was no excuse for not giving a single refill to your table. Plates we didn’t like: mac n cheese, chicken picatta (no flavor, just chicken pasta pepper and lemon), nachos (just a bunch of tortilla and cheese with 5 little cut up pieces of chicken), the wrap had chicken in one half and not in the other, the burger and sandwich were served cold . The tenders, cobb salad, and wings were okay at most. Quesadillas were good. I would not dine here when you have so many options at the different hotels in the area.

My husband and I really enjoyed our breakfast here! The service was slightly slow at first, but our server Q checked back on us multiple times and was very personable. The chicken fried steak and pancake were stand outs. We won’t hesitate to visit again!

Had a burger because it was free (penn cash) so the price was right. It was sub par. Lettuce was wilted. Bottom bun was soaked. The rest was ok. The salad needed to be chopped up more. Cucumbers had the centers cut out?? Why?, not sure. Pickes tasted weird. Dressing was good.
My MAIN reason for always staying/coming to
Ameristar is the Eggs Benedict at Fireside. For walk-ins, the breakfast menu was cut to 3 items (not good). No more eggs benedict. But they do still have it on the room service menu. It was just not hot by the time it arrived. But, glad I asked for extra hollandaise, because the amount they put on was not adequate. Lastly, they said it was a long wait at the restaurant (dinner) even though there were many empty tables…..not enough servers. The Penn app is THE WORSE. I couldn’t use it to order and cannot call. They did have a QR on the room TV to use and that worked [on the second try].

I have worked in the food industry and owned my own food service restaurants; by far, this takes the cake as the worst service and food in Colorado. I get better service from Denny’s. What do you have to do to get service in this restaurant? I waited an hr for someone to take my drink order. Another half an hr to take my food order. Servers to my left and right are talking amongst each other acting like they have no one to serve. Some were even on their phones which is very rude considering I’m paying more money not only to have food but also to enjoy cooked food. BEWARE OF THE FOOD!!! It’s undercooked and sadly, I wouldn’t even give this food to my neighbor dog for fear the poor dog would get sick. Close the restaurant for one day and train your cooks what is standard cooking temperatures before someone truly sues you.

The food was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The steak was overcooked, a poor cut and chewy— for $35 bucks! Their batter for fish and chips was undercooked and raw, they brought a salad out with no dressing. This is hands down THE WORST restaurant to exist. Zero stars if I could. Service was slow (not many people in there, look at the reviews!) but waitress was kind— but only comped 10% which was meager considering the quality. What a waste of money. Take pride in your work and care! Keep your money and go elsewhere! We tried the ramen place but it had a long wait— otherwise our meals would’ve been better. This was trash.

The service was great, and the salmon plate is so good. I ate it for dinner both nights I was there. Also got a BLT – Sub avocado add cheddar and it was also incredible.

I’ve tried many times to eat here. The food is flavorless and boring.
In tonights meal, tried the breakfast burrito. The green chili sauce was “meh”, the breakfast potatoes tasted like boring pototoes, the rest of it just tasted like egg. No cheese, no spice.
Just boring. 24/7 in Monarch is way better.
